Vehicle Detail
1998 Pontiac Grand Am - Head Gasket - otherwise nice and runs well This auction is for a running Grand Am is good shape other than the head gasket and the heater core. The heater core broke and my son drove it home about a mile (he did not know better). We had it towed to a shop where they found the broken heater core. We told them to bypass the core until we could afford a new one. After they started it up again, it started leaking water at the head gasket to the outside (not into the engine itself). Estimate for repair of the head gasket was around $1600 with another $500+ for the heater core. We are just going to cut our losses and start over. This car has cold air and a good radio/CD. Tires are practically new, interior is good and exterior is great. This car also has electric locks and comes with two remotes. It does not have power windows but it does have automatic transmission. It also has the rear spoiler. Previous repairs included a water pump and a front right front-end bushing. If you are handy with engine repairs then this should make a nice car for you. Pictures: the first pictures are from when we got it last summer and the ones that are dark are from where the car is sitting at the repair shop in Okemos. My other auctions. Any questions? You can see it in the picture of the drivers door interior.
