Vehicle Detail
It pains me to part with this car but my company is requiring me to get a company car. Sounds great right....not when you have to go from driving this car to a stripped down Subaru. I am the original owner of this care and purchased new at the local Acura dealership back in Sept of 2004. This car has been magnificent and spoiled. I have always maintained the service standards set out by Acura (with records). This car was used pretty much exclusively by me for business purpose traveling in a 3 state territory. Therefore I would say that at least 80% of the miles are highway. The car has never been in a wreck, never been smoked in, and (although not required) I have used premium gasonline and synthetic oil for oil changes. There is nothing wrong with this car, in fact back last fall I completed the 100k miles service which includes flushing the various systems, NEW TIMING BELT ($1k job), new brakes, new tires, and new belts and hoses. I had completed this work as part of its necessary and routine maintenance and I thought as an investment for 100k more miles of satisfaction for me to drive. If you are looking at TL's or any other car for that matter be sure to take into consideration the timing belt. Most are recommended to be replace at 100k miles unless they are on a timing chain. Take that into consideration when determining the cost of cars you are looking at. You may find a TL with 80k miles but when you look at the maintenace you will have within a year or so on it you will be spending about $1,800-2,500 to properly service it.......this has already been done for you on this car. If you subtract those costs from the starting price it is well under $10,500.00. The car is 6 years old so there are a rock chips here and there and a few small scatches but nothing that I would consider significant. The car has never been wrecked and has no dents or dings other than on small parking lot ding above the driver side passenger rear door handle which can barely be noticed. There is also a small tear at the back bottom of the driver seat which again isn't very noticeable as it is at the feet of the passenger in the back. There is a back-lite out on the steering wheel where the cruise control buttons are. I was told it is an easy fix as they just pop off the cover and replace the bulb (a few bucks for the bulb and 30 minutes of shop time. The front right rim has a small dent on the inside edge which is not visible but was discovered during tire rotations last time it was serviced....likely from this past winters pot holes. You can pick up rims on eBay and Craigslist for around $100.00 should you choose to replace it. This car is as solid of a car as you will find. Please feel free to call me with questions or if you are local to see the car. You will not be disappointed. This truly is a sacrafice for me to sell this but I do not need multiple cars in my garage. Also, when I purchased the car in 2004 I purchased the all season floor mats which are a durable rubberized product. I used these every year during the wet/snow months. As you can see from the pictures the original carpeted floor mats are in outstanding shape for their age as a result of using the seasonal mats. I will be including these mats with the car. I have taken every measure to keep this car in perfect condition as I had planned to keep this car for 200k-300k miles. Car has XM, Navi, Bluetooth, heated seats, it has pretty much every option that Acura offered other than ground effects and spoiler. I also have both Keys and Keyless Entry Remotes.
