Vehicle Detail
If you are looking for a low-mileage, hard to find, Dodge with the highly sought after 12-valve Cummins Turbo Diesel, here is a nice truck... This 1997 Dodge Ram 2500 SLT Laramie longbed is loaded with just about every option you could get. This truck would make the ultimate tow vehicle or a fantastic daily driver that gets excellent fuel mileage. These trucks are known to last for a half-million miles or more and, as you can see, with this low of mileage this truck is barely broken in. Powered by the 5.9 liter Cummins 12-valve Turbo Diesel, backed by a 4-speed heavy-duty automatic-overdrive transmission, and heavy-duty Dana rear axle with 3.54 gearing, there isn't much that this truck won't pull. The engine compartment is as clean as I have ever seen, the motor looks nicer than most trucks I see that are a year old or less. This is a stellar example of the best engine Cummins ever produced. The body and interior are in very good condition and it runs and drives excellent. It is equipped with power windows, power locks, ice-cold factory air conditioning, cruise control, tilt wheel, cloth reclining bucket seats with center fold-down armrest and storage console, factory AM/FM/cassette stereo, full-factory carpeting, full-length aluminum running boards, factory chrome wheel covers, bug deflector and factory, heavy-duty towing package. The tires are in very good condition and the rear tires appear to be almost new. There are minor flaws, inside and out, consistent with the age of the vehicle, there are a couple of small spots that need touched up on the body, the factory Emerald Green and Light Driftwood two-tone finish still looks pretty nice. There is some paint fade and de-lamination of the clear coat on the tops of the front fenders as is normal on these trucks, and a few scratches, nicks, etc. as expected on a truck this age. All in all, a very nice, very solid truck that is clean inside and out and will provide someone many years of service. All of the factory manuals and documentation are in the glove box. This truck runs absolutely perfect and it really is a very nice looking example of a very hard to find vehicle. The actual, low mileage at the time of listing is 89,998. As you know if you are looking at this, these Cummins Turbo Diesel engines are known to go a half of a million miles between major servicing. DON'T PASS THIS ONE UP, THESE ARE VERY, VERY HARD TO FIND AND I DOUBT YOU WILL SEE ANOTHER FOR SALE IN THE NEAR FUTURE, IF AT ALL, AT NO RESERVE. As with all of our auctions, this is a no reserve sale. This 1997 Dodge Ram 2500 Diesel will sell to the high bidder at the end of the auction, please complete all inspections BEFORE bidding...if you win the auction, you own the vehicle. Because of increasing expenses in every regard, we have been forced to raise our fees by $40, this is the first time in ten years that we have done this, so hopefully you will understand. There will be a $125 documentation fee and a $15 title fee added to each sale, these will be the ONLY additional fees you will be responsible for, unless you reside in the state of Ohio, in which case you will need to pay the proper amount of sales tax, based on the current rate for the county in which you reside. Temporary 30-day plate and registration is also available for $18.50. We do not charge any additional fees and there are no hidden charges. Most sellers are charging double this amount currently. I welcome any and all questions you might have prior to bidding on this truck. I do reserve the right to end the auction early if the vehicle sells locally prior to the end of auction (please call if you like). I am a law-enforcement officer as well and as such, work long hours so you are free to call me as late in the evening as you like. I can be reached anytime at (614) 893-3857. I will take calls 24/7 up until the end of the auction. Winning bidder agrees to forward a 25% partial payment (unless a lesser amount is agreed upon PRIOR to the end of the auction) at end of auction via direct bank wire transfer or by overnighted cashier's check, money order or certified funds. Balance will be due within seven days of end of auction or at time of pick up or delivery, whichever comes first. I will help in any way possible to arrange transportation. I can store the vehicle for up to 90 days, until pick up can be arranged, as long as it's paid for in full. I may be able to deliver this vehicle personally, depending on your location at a reduced rate. I have been buying, selling and driving unique, specialty vehicles for over ten years now and take pride in offering only low-mileage vehicles that are not "run of the mill", beat-up cars and trucks. I specialize in the hard to obtain cars and trucks, Diesel trucks, police vehicles, collectible and rare cars, trucks and vans. If there are any questions at all, again, please don't hesitate to call me at (614) 893-3857. I will answer all e-mails as quickly as possible. Thanks and good luck! Because of people who bid and do not contact me or pay, I am being forced to implicate a rule pertaining to low-feedback bidders. ANY BIDDER WHO BIDS, WITH A FEEDBACK OF 5 OR LESS, WILL HAVE THEIR BID RETRACTED IMMEDIATELY unless they contact me first, prior to bidding. I hope everyone understands, and I thank our hundreds of happy customers, but a few bad apples have spoiled the proverbial bunch. Thanks for understanding. Please remember, this is a used vehicle, and not new, although it is in very good shape and runs and drives excellent. As such it will have minor flaws consistent with the miles and age of the vehicle. That being said, it is in great shape, not what you would typically expect, or what you will find elsewhere for sale. Please, if you want to come and look at it, do so BEFORE bidding...or call me, as always, at 614-893-3857 or e-mail me and I will answer any questions you may have. Thanks!
