This is a 1957 Metropolitan that the wife really thought she had to have about five years ago, now the new has worn off and I need the garage space. The car has had all new brakes clear through, a clutch cyl. , five new tires, new exhaust sys., the generator was replaced with a alternator with a new regulator. This work was done by previous owners. I have had the radiator boiled out, pressure checked, put in a new thermostat and new radiator cap. All body work was done by previous owners, the only rusty area I can find is in the trunk area by the tail lights (see photo). Primer also visible above carpet, same photo. Chrome redone except door handles, stainless all good. Fuel gauge not working. There is a small horseshoe crack in the lower part of the windshield, passenger side. We have driven the car locally many times and had no problems (definitely not my idea of a road car). It drives and shifts like it should.
