1984 Volkswagen Rabbit GL . Have had the car for 5 years. Have been restoring the vehicle a little bit at a time , heres whats been done. The good: New paint and trim molding New carpet New apolstery New Headliner New Radiator Replaced Alternator (Bosch) Replaced Brakes rear Replaced right axle Replaced motor mounts Replaced fuel filter Cleaned injectors Replaced left wheel cylinder Replaced emergency brake cable Replaced master cylinder Replaced right wheel cylinder Replaced valve cover gasket New oil pressure switch New Timing Belt New water pump The bad: I was not able to find an aftermarket radiator that had the thermostat. So the radiator fan is on a manual switch located under the steering wheel. In the summer I just switch it on when I start the car. In the winter it takes about 15 minutes until the temperature gauge gets to the middle and then I flip it on. The A/C worked perfectly until the bearings in the compressure went out. I have seen the exact compressure on ebay for $200 to $300. I just do not have the time and money to replace it. Other than that it runs awsome. Buyer is responsible for arranging pickup.
