1971 Mercury capri race car and 73 parts car, NO RESERVE!! I bought this car with the intentions of converting it to run the Rally America series but after looking into upgrading the cage and suspension I have decided to keep it as is and build my Cortina instead. This car has 2 logbooks of racing history behind it starting at Riverside in 1986, it won a club championships in the 90's. Both logbooks are included as are crates and crates of spares, including another 1973 capri with a 2.8 v6 with spare transmission, rear end, body etc. Here's a youtube clip of the car taken today 5-9-10 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=asNYhXBii94 Car specs as I know are; 2000 cc sohc, built to itb rules no other details but runs very strong, 4 speed tranny,good oil pressure. Only thing I added was a new alternator. Rear end has a welded diff, clunks a little while low speed turning (normal?) Has custom castor camber plates and HUGE sway bar front and rear. No rust, very solid car, body has a few battle scars but doesn't appear to have ever been hit hard, originally yellow but painted orange at a later date. I have never road raced so I don't know what it will take to race this today or what classes it would be legal in. It will need a new seat as it has a fiberglass shell only.
