Vehicle Detail

1973 Triumph Bonneville T140V, Bike has been completely gone through, engine rebuilt, .040 over pistons, new bearings, gaskets, valves and valve guides, seals etc, 5 speed tranny. I've owned the bike since 2001 and it does get ridden on a regular basis, bike was torn down to the bare frame and completely gone through in 2006, has gotten about 2200 miles put on it since then. Has a Boyer electronic ignition, Tympanium(sp) regulator/rectifier, I installed 2 new Amal carbs when I built it. DID 530 heavy duty solid roller chain, reproduction 1960 US spec Bonneville handlebars, Replica Tommaselli alloy racing clutch and brake levers, MAP no creep clutches, MAP alloy pressure plate with ball bearing pusher, reproduction headlamp shell (Emgo) I built the bike to resemble a 1970 thus the side covers and screw on air filters,Paint is copper and silver with hand painted gold pin striping. I used a 1972 front end/drum brake rebuilt with progressive fork springs, Hagon gas shocks on the rear and Dunlop K70 tires. Reproduction 1968 exhaust system, Harris head pipes and Wassel silencers. Speedo works well and tach is either NOS or rebuilt (I replaced it a couple months ago) the bike needs nothing to be a rider....just kick it and go, runs and rides great! I rode it to work a couple of days ago. Of course it is still a vintage British motorcycle so it has it's own personality it's kick start only, right foot shift and has a positive ground electrical system, it does leak a little oil. It is pretty much a first or second kick bike...pretty easy starting machine and runs best on 87 octane gas. I hate to sell this but I have a bad back and my vintage motorcycle were killing me, that's one of the reasons I'm letting it go at this price No trades, I've already purchased another project and the money from this will be going into my "new" 41 year old Buick it is not a numbers matching bike, the engine is a 1973 T140V engine, engine number is T140VEH33398 bike is sold as is with no warranty buyer is responsible for all shipping costs and arrangements, if buyer is within a couple hundred miles I can help...of course if you are that close you can ride it home if you wish! and yes, I am aware I was wearing my Norton shirt in the videos..... the last vid was shot about 2 years ago, the rest were done May 8th 2010 a $500 deposit via pay pal will be required within 24 hours of auction ending full payment due within 7 days of auction ending, payment by cash or bank cashiers check only On May-14-10 at 21:01:48 PDT, seller added the following information: I made a typo....the handlebars are 1969 US spec T120 Bonneville bars not 1960
