If financing has been arranged, Covert Ford Austin will send all the required paperwork to the financial institution, and the financial institution will send us certified funds for the remaining balance due. When we receive funds from the buyer or through the established financial institution, the buyer may take delivery of their vehicle.
Fee and Tax Information:
If you live in Texas, you must pay 6.25% of the sales price for state sales tax. Out-of-state buyers may register and pay applicable taxes in their own state.
All buyers are required to pay Texas Vehicle Inventory Tax (VIT) of .1816% of the purchase price. (The VIT is based on the county in Texas where the dealership in located. Covert Ford Austin is located in Travis County.)
All buyers are subject to a $225 fee which covers documentation, title, inspection, transfer, registration & title copies, and vehicle prep.
