Vehicle Detail
1962 Lincoln Continental Convertible This is an awesome car to drive around. This is the type of car JFK rode in. I've had it now for almost 8 years and have put a lot of money into it. Baker's Auto rebuilt the top hydraulic system. The Air Conditioning system was redone by a local A/C Specialist. The Transmission was rebuilt. Wide Whitewall tires were installed. The car has the original 430ci V8 engine. Original AM Radio. This is an original A/C Car. Original 3spd Automatic Transmission. he car made several trips from PA to SC in the summer. Classic Black/Red/White color combination. About 2 years ago I parked the car. A rely went in the top and I was recovering from knee surgery. I am getting married now and moving to Florida so I need to sell my beloved Lincoln. Currently, I would say the car is a twenty-footer. It does need some work. The rely needs to be fixed to get the top to work. I do not have time to do this right now. The car is complete. The back seats are not fastened to allow access to the rely. Seats are in good condition. Car is solid. Only a few spots of rust which are pictured. When I tried to start it, I could not get the starter to engage. The starter could be bad or just frozen, so the car will need to be towed. The engine ran strong when I drove it before. As I stated, we made several long road trips with it. At 80 mph plus, it did consume some oil, but it did not smoke. I have over $25,000 into this car. This is your chance to get it for much less. The car must be picked up as soon as possible since I am moving. Please email me if you have any questions. The car is sold as-is, with no warranties expressed or implied. A $750 non-refundable deposit is due within 48 hours of the auction close, the balance to be paid within 7 days with a Bank Check or certified funds before pickup. The funds must clear before the car will be released. Car must be picked up with 10 days after close of auction. On May-10-10 at 08:03:19 PDT, seller added the following information: I'ved received a lot of emails asking me if I'd hold the car if they are the winning bidder. Please do not bid if you cannot complete the deal with the terms listed in the auction. I am moving and the car must be picked up asap, but no later than 10 days after the end of auction. Your funds must clear before then. Also, the car is available for inspection. If you would like more pictures, please email me and I will post them. On May-10-10 at 17:52:14 PDT, seller added the following information: Thank you for the interest in the car and the emails. I've started posting my responses to the listing. Here are a few I previously answered. The car does have surface rust in spots on the underside. New pictures posted. Car does have a stainless steel exhaust that I had installed. On May-11-10 at 06:29:40 PDT, seller added the following information: New pictures posted. To those of you who've asked, I purchased the car from California about 8 years ago. The tires are Coker Classic Radials.
