Hello, up for auction is my 1965 scout 80. It is pretty good shape for the year, and has minimal rust. The main rust issues are common on fully removable top vehicles. The front floor pans have rust(not quite through yet) and the bed rails where the top meets the bed has a few holes. I was told by the previous owner that the engine had been rebuilt 20k miles before I purchased it. The 4wd works and has the twin sticks to allow for 2hi, 2low, 4hi and 4low. All the guages work,as well as the dome light, and the hazzard knob still flashes. It has the optional rear seat, which is in really good condition. The truck has 5 brand new tires on it. NOW FOR THE BAD: The previous owner forgot to fill the rear diff. when he replaced the cover gasket, and while I was driving it home the spider gears grenaded! The ring and pinion are ok, as well as the factory locker. I purchased a dana 44 to replace the rear dana 27, and it came with 4 scout rallye wheels with decent tires. I have had not had the time to swap axles, and that is all this truck needs to be back on the road. I have too many projects and the wife said 1 has to go. This scout needs very little to be a trail toy, and not too much to be a full restoration project. It is for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end this auction early.
