Vehicle Detail
Classic Metallic Silver with black leather interior. The paint looks generally good and the body is straight The car has Carrera pressure fed chain tensioners on the 3.0 CIS fuel injected motor. It has the "Pop-off valve" (backfire valve) in the intake box. The transmission was overhauled about 25k miles ago. Shifts well. A new clutch was installed at the same time. It has a new alternator just a few thousand miles ago. I have most service records going back to 1986. Interior is very good with reupholstered front seats in heavy velour type cloth. They are very comfortable (cool in summer, warm in winter). They were upholstered using the same stitch pattern as the original seats. Nice front 'Porsche' floor mats. Dash is good, not cracked or warped at all. I have always garaged the car and used a sunshade when I was parked outside. The wheels are very nice and it has Michelin tires mounted. The targa top was recovered not long ago and is nice. The headliner is also good. Latches work well and it fits the car well. The windshield does have a chip that literally happened right after installing this new windshield. All gauges, instruments, etc. work (clock keeps perfect time. The radio/CD sometimes whistles, but turning it off and on again usually fixes it. I have the radio/cassette that was in the car (from new?) if you want it. Pretty sure it works. The mileage is accurate, I have records and the car has the ORIGINAL speedometer/odometer. The A/C needs a charge, it worked great a year and a half ago; it needs a charge every other year to work well. I just had the emissions tested (for Colorado) and it passed easily. It has an alarm. It has Bosch H4 headlights (the kind that fit US headlight rings). The engine will drip a few drops from time to time. Mechanic said it's nothing serious. I have used Mobil 1 since I've owned it. There are paint imperfections consistent with a 30 year old car, but it looks good and the paint is very shiny. There is some rash of the paint on the front valence and bumper. A little on the hood and mirrors, too. Not bad. There is some faint fading on the top edge of the driver's door, but with a Silver car it doesn't look bad. I had the engine lid repainted last year; it was scratched. I can send a few more pics, just ask. I couldn't load them for some reason. Ask any questions before bidding, Please. Carfax is ONLY available for 1981 and newer vehicles - must have a 17 digit VIN. As I said, I have records going back to 1986. Also, someone asked for the engine number. I could not get a pic with the A/C, etc. The engine number is: *6403130*
