1973 Honda CB

1973 Honda CB350F Four Cylinder Classic This is the world’s smallest four cylinder engine, an engineering marvel from Honda. Originally sold in May of ’73. This is a machine for those who want a daily rider and like old Hondas. Everything works. Bike is complete and all signals, lights, gauges, etc, work and are on the bike. I have a machine that can be ridden and I do so 4-5 times per week. Whenever you attempt to service or replace parts you will find everything clean with the correct hardware and no stripped holes. Essentially you’re starting with a very well prepared machine that is in 100 percent running order. - All controls are tight. It starts (both kick start and electric starter), runs, shifts and drives very well. Kick and center stand installed. - Frame has been repainted down to the metal, a very nice semi-gloss black with 2 primer coats, 2 top coats. This includes both stands. - No rust on chrome. - 6954 miles on engine, does not burn oil. - No engine leaks, no oil leaks, nothing on the floor under the bike. - Aftermarket 2-into-1 exhausts (originals can be found but are rare and very expensive). Very deep, throaty sound from these puppies – very cool. No holes! - Carbs rebuilt and sync’d, new needles, seats, jets and new bowl ‘o’ rings. - Petcock rebuilt. - Excellent battery, new Nov 2008. - Copies of the Honda Owner’s Manual, Parts Book, Shop Manual and Service Manual available if the new owner desires. Other: to be a show bike it would need a paint job - paint is original. Small dent right side of tank (hard to see in pic, it is shallow), sun fade on top of tank (noticeable in pic). Top of tank still has original Honda “Think Safety” sticker. Best paint is on the side covers. Small battery acid discoloration marks on top of the right muffler. Also: Replace the tires. Both tires have plenty of tread and grip the road very well, but the sidewalls are starting to check, so please, replace them for safety. They do NOT lose air. Original air box cover was missing when purchased, I could not find one anywhere, new or used, so I made one myself. Small paints chips in black paint on gauges, front facing, of course. One has more than the other because they are not a matched set - speedo was not working when purchased, a used replacement was secured and works great including backlights – the mileage is no longer accurate, of course. - Tank cleaned 16 months ago down to the metal, no rust. It has not been coated, doesn’t need to be - No leaks. - Fork oil changed late 2008 using high quality fork oil and new seals. - Front brake fluid drained and changed 16 months ago, high quality approved fluid. - Engine oil and filter changed this Feb, 10W-40, as recommended. - My pictures show missing Honda emblem from the alternator cover. I have found a used one from another Honda model that is exactly the same as the missing one and it is now installed. Light scratches. - Seat has no rips, no tears, no separations. Very good seat pan, no rust. Very good foam. - Charging system checked and tested, works well and is sending the proper voltage to the system and the battery.
