Up for auction with no reserve price a former fleet utility vehicle well maintained and taking care of, 1997 Ford F-250 factory installed dedicate CNG (runs on compress natural gas only) This truck is my daily driver and runs and drives excellent. It is ready to drive home with a clear Texas title on my name with current Texas inspection and registration. Equipped with a third optional underbody tank that increases the volume of CNG to 18.9 gge and the range of 250 - 300 miles with the optional tank. I did the fuel economy test myself by filling up 19 gge at 3800psi from a low fuel tank, zero out my trip odometer and I drove within a week 285 miles city and highway combined until the low fuel light up. Now lets do the math: 285/19=15 miles per gallon approximate. At $1.00 or less a gge (gasoline gallon equivalent) you can fill it up with less than $20 bucks, more than 60% percent savings in fuel. This truck will pay for itself. I know in some states the cng gge price is less than $1.00 with other tax and local incentives. Transmission- Transmission is in great shape no fluid leaks. Shift lever mechanism not pulling the cable and loose from last owner, but it is secured in place and shifting all the gears without any problems. see pictures for the shift lever. (this issue does not affect the transmission at all) Body- There is not much to say about the body. I think the pictures speak for themselves, it is a rust free vehicle. Few cracks in the paint by the fuel compartment only (will try to capture on a picture). Stop lights in the back cracked but usable and operational. Overall in great shape for its age. Clean bed and back door. Note: Does not have a spare tire, or jack Interior- Clean interior, everything works, cold a/c, heater, factory radio. Cloth headliner in the ceiling hanging down at the front and back edges and it is temporaly holding with masking tape. (see the interior picture).
