Here is a very rare and very low production model 1971 Mercedes 350 SL convertible.This is a true 350 SL model that was actually produced in Germany and was one of the promotional models in 1971 that was used at auto shows in Europe to introduce and get Americans to buy the newly designed SL body and model.What makes this unique is the Euro 1971 350 SL models were the only ones that came with a standard 3.5 litre fuel injected V-8 engine.In 1972,they all had a 350 SL name badge but came standard with the 4.5 litre fuel injected V-8 engine.The car also has the traditional small classic bumpers,Euro headlights,small chrome rear view mirrors,and original hubcaps.The serial numbers are also different.The 1971 Euro models were 107043 and all standard 1972 models were 107044.The car has been in a long time family collection and has been stored for may years in an enclosed rust free environment.The car has resided in California since 1971 and has only 45,295 original miles.The car is completely rust free.The car has never been wrecked or damaged.All numbers are matching.The body panels are all original and in excellent condition.The silver paint is very nice and is the original factory color from new.As you can see in the photos,the paint is a great show stopper and has a super straight body with no particular dings or scratches.The original 2-tone black and dark gray text interior is outstanding.The seats have no rips or wear.The original carpets and door panels are in superb condition.The original dash is beautiful.The interior was very well preserved and obviously has no sun damage.As pictured,the car come with both the hardtop and softtop.The black canvas softtop was recently replaced and in perfect condition.The hardtop is all original and very nice.All the trim,bumpers,and rubbers are in excellent original shape.The car runs and drive quite well especially for a 39 year old vehicle.There are no known fluid leaks and the car can handle the highway quite well and can take you on any fun trip you want to go on.I know there are very few of these special classics still available for sale.This would make a great Mercedes collection or for someone who like unusual and very rare SLs.This is a very nice low mile original true factory original 1971 350 SL that will be offered at No Reserve.Will assist with shipping anywhere around the world.
