Vehicle Detail
1953 Chevrolet 210 4 Door w/Powerglide Trans. Here's a 1953 Chevrolet 4 door I picked up at a local farm auction last fall as a project for myself. I put it in my shed, and thats where it sat all winter. The only reason I'm selling it is I got too many irons in the fire, and I need the room. Car is in pretty good original condition overall given its age, which leads me to believe it was a garage kept car for most of its life but it does have transmission issues. Car features a 235 c.i. 6 cylinder engine with a cast iron Powerglide. Car belonged to an older guy who gave it to his grandson.... who promptly put chrome Buick rims on it, and drove it so low on fluid he burned the drive clutches up. (Nice goin' Ace!) The car however still drives in low gear and reverse because the forward and reverse bands are still good. Car is pretty solid, and has been up here in Wisconsin since it was sold new in Bloomer. Doors are all solid and close like they should. Glass is all good and all the windows work with ease. Sheet metal is pretty good, with the usual rot in the usual places. The drivers front fender is boogered up though(show me one that ain't) Rocker panels look solid. Interior and dash complete and looks really nice. The headliner is tight and looks good, but it has a fairly large hole in it under the drivers visor. The visor hides it completely though. Has Motorola radio and also has a working factory clock. The seats are worn, but granny was patchin' 'em up! Floor pans in the rear are solid. Floor pans in front are definitely there, but I don't know how good or bad they are without tearing up the mats. Given the age of the car, lets just assume they may need reinforcement or replacement if you choose. Under the hood is all original, except missing the air cleaner. Pretty much what you see is what you get. If your interested in looking at more pics Click Here and it will take you to another folder of pics. Selling this really good project car with NO RESERVE! Buyer pays $250.00 to Paypal within 48 hours after close of auction, with the remainder due in cash when the car is picked up. With a little work on the trans, you could literally be driving this thing around by summer. Good luck!
