This is a beautiful and absolute original 1935 Buick model 56 (50 series) business coupe.......amazing with original paint and only 27,467 miles......one of only a handful in existence today. The previous owner had it over 50 years, part of the time in a museum. Built in the middle of the great depression, only around 120 (that's right, one hundred twenty) of this model were ever built. They were almost identical to the 1934 model, since Buick could not afford to retool their machines in 1935......and only a little over 1000 of this model were ever built in 1934. It has the straight eight engine with updraft carburetor....first year that GM had an automatic choke. The gas pedal pushes on the starter button, which was an innovation at the time. It has the standard three speed synchromesh transmission.......even has the original Buick radio, heater and electric clock. i had the gas tank removed and cleaned, as well as the carburetor and fuel lines. In addition, I had the lights and brakes checked for safety......She purrs down the highway with ease. She has been well cared for, and there are only minor dings and scratches. The paint on the trunk is worn down to the primer in spots from years of polishing. Reluctantly, due to the loss of my job and tough times, I am selling off my collection.
