Vehicle Detail
You are looking at a 1970 ss chevelle 454 12 bolt posi ,disc brakes TH400, bucket seats, frame off restoration orginal color is red, code 75. Starting with the frame it was blasted to bare metal then sealed with POR 15. All new poly urethane, control arm bushings, sway bar mounts and links. New ball joints, tie rod ends, shocks and springs and new brake lines, fuel line, body mount kit, master cylinder, brake hoses, brake shoes, new capliers, wheel cylinders, spring kit and pads. The rearend is a 3;31- 12 bolt positive track. I think the code is CCF. It is rebuilt and ready to go! The is a 454 BBC all rebuilt, not the orginal engine. The block had all new cam bearings, freeze plugs, rods recondition, crank turned 20 under, all new rings rods and main bearings. The heads are all redone. A new valve job done. It is a aluminum intake manifold with holley carb, electronic distributor, new hydraulic cam and lifters, and new plugs wires. It comes with open headers, no exhaust. This engine sounds great. The engine has been run about 1 hour to break in the cam. The timing is set and valves are all adjusted just right. The transmission is a turbo 400. It was redone several years ago and been stored inside. Hence, I have included in the auction the orginal shifter. I think that is what someone would want to put back in the car. I also have the orginal console not pictured that gose with the car it is very nice no cracks on any of the mounting brackets The body has been on a rotisserie. The bottom of the car was primed and painted. The car came from the south and is the most solid Chevelle I have ever seen. The only thing replaced was one rear quarter because of a dent. A new full rear quarter was installed. The body was sanded to bare metal and was sealed with epoxy primer. It was then primed with 2 k primer. The car was reassembled to make sure the fit is right. The front and rear window is not in the car, but will go with the car. All the glass in the car is good. The door and side glass is installed in the car. The car will need primed and block sanded, but is not to far off. The front fenders are bolted on the car, but I would take the front end off and panel paint. This will help you get all the door jams and fenders real good so not everything is hooked up there are some bolts missing on the fenders because like I said if I painted it I would take front clip back off the car I have all the bolts It has the SS hood. The fire wall was glossed and the same with inner front fenders. The bumpers are driver quality, but after you paint the car I am sure you will want to have these rechromed. The car was originally red. The interior has am SS dash with the correct color green on the lettering. The dash was repainted. It is a very nice dash, except for where the radio goes. Someone cut the opening for a new style radio. It has no radio with the car unless you want an am radio. Please ask me and I will throw that in. The car has bucket seats that will need recovered. It will need a headliner. All the bows are in the car and in good shape. The back arm rest were repainted and the rear door panels are driver quality. The front door panels should be replaced. The rear seat is in good shape, but should be redone it to match the front seats. The car will need a new carpet kit. I did not want to install, so everyone could see how nice the floors are. I feel the car is a true SS car because the dash was not changed out. It has12 bolt positive track boxed control arms. It has never had any drilled holes on the bottom rockers for chrome molding like some Malibu. The car has the bbc steering shaft that the bolt gose threw it. These cars are bringing big money when they are done and this one is not to far away. It is hard to guess what color everyone wants, this way you can chose and have it the way you want. The car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early. Buyer is responsible for the shipping of the car. The wheels in the gallery photo go with the car 7 inch ralleys up front with almost new tires and 8 inch ralleys on the back with not so good of tires. The buy it now on the car is way under what the car is worth. I have described the car to the best of my ability. I am only responsible for the description written above. I urge you to ask any questions and to inspect or send an inspector prior to bidding on the car. The car is sold as- is, where is and contains no warranty. The price you bid will be the price you pay Please only bid if you have the funds set up a time with me and I will make sure I or someone will be here thanks for looking
