UP FOR AUCTION :(¯`*•.¸1968 Volkswagen Vanagon / Bus¸.•*´¯): This 1968 Volkswagen Vanagon / Bus Is In Very Good Physical Condition And Very Good Running Condition. The previous owner had the body reconditioned and painted in 2007. There is no visible body rust on the and the undercarriage appears to be solid. There’s a small dent in the front body section below the V W emblem and the rear bumper has been removed, other than that the body is straight. The right rear hub cap is missing... It has an Oregon title and plates that expired July 2009, prior to the registration expiring it was driven 3 or 4 times a week and ran great. The 5-digit odometer reads 08458 miles. No cracked or broken windows, clean interior, no rips or tears and the wood paneling looks great. The above described is being auctioned for a friend who has decided to part with it. You may bid with complete confidence and trust, with myco-usa customer satisfaction is guaranteed… I have started this auction with the only 2 photos available at this time. I will personally inspect this vehicle on April 26, 2010 after which I will be adding any additional information and several photos that will show full body coverage, complete interior, engine compartment and undercarriage. This Vehicle will be sold “As Is” and in the condition as stated… A deposit of 500.00 U.S. dollars is required within 48 hours of auction ending… Full payment required within 7 days of auction close… Buyer is responsible for vehicle pick-up or shipping… Vehicle location: Newberry Springs, California 92365 Bidding Will Start At $200.00 With A Super Low Reverse !!! Have Questions, Need additional information, Please contact me and I will gladly answer any questions you have. Thanks for looking, have a great day and GOOD LUCK… On Apr-29-10 at 00:47:51 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE: I have checked this vehicle front to back, top to bottom, inside and out. As previously stated this Volkswagen Bus is in very, very good condition. I have added more pictures to the listing as promised so you can see for yourself that it has well taken care of over the past 42-years. The engine starts up with a quick turn of the key, it runs smooth and clean, there was no smoke or discoloration in the exhaust. The engine compartment is clean and oil free, maybe a little sand or dirt stuck to the interior walls but as you can see in the background of the photos we are in the middle of the Mojave Desert. The bottom of the engine and surrounding undercarriage does not show evidence of any pervious or current fluid leaks. The transmission shifts well and the clutch in-gauges as it should. The reddish brown patches at the top of the photo marked “Undercarriage Front to Rear” is dirt or mud, to some viewers it may appear to be rust but it is not. What I did find that contradicts my original statements in this listing are as follows: There is a hairline crack in the front windshield approximately 5 inches long, it is located at the bottom of the windshield about center and is in an upward direction… There are no signs of rust on the exterior or interior body of this Volkswagen bus but there is evidence of previous rust damage to the driver’s side bottom edge of the body between the front and rear wheels. To repair the damaged area prior to the vehicle being painted, someone riveted into place what looks to be an aftermarket body part or panel that is contoured perfectly to fit this area. Look at photo 2 and 4 at the lower section of the body between the front and back tire, this repair can barely be seen. I took a photo of this repair at an angle where it stood out the most. (See photo 18) The underside of this panel / repair can be seen in photo’s 20 and 21… Opposite this repair on the passenger side undercarriage there is mild rust showing behind the left front tire and in front of the left rear tire as shown in photo 22, these area’s are solid. On that same part of the undercarriage about center of the sliding door I found two spots about the size of a quarter where the rust has gone through the floor panel. Aside from the area where the repair was done this is the only place on the entire undercarriage that has serious rust. (See Photo 23) As they say “A Picture Can Speak A Thousand Words” and the pictures that are posted pretty much cover the entire bus. View the photo’s and judge for yourself as to the condition of this 1968 Volkswagen Vanagon / Buss and place your bids accordingly… If you have questions or would like a picture of a certain area of this vehicle, please feel free to contact me. Have A Great Day & Good Luck Bidding…
