2000 Jaguar S-Type with the 4.0L V8. Automatic transmission, programmable drivers seat, dual climate control, power sunroof. Blue with a cream colored leather interior. Car comes with two keys and two programmed remotes. 17" Wheels with Michelin MXM4 tires in excellent condition. Everything works flawlessly on this car and is in excellent condition. Since the salvage vehicle market is on fire, insurance companies have been totaling damaged vehicles with less damage and getting higher salvage prices, resulting in a savings for the insurance company. Virginia's definition of a total loss vehicle is based on the severity of the damage and not economics. Therefore, Virginia did not require the vehicle to have a salvage certificate. Autocheck will show that the vehicle title was transfered to the insurance company and then to the aquiring dealer. This flaggs it as a posible total loss when it actually is not. This S-Type had cosmetic damage on the right doors, fender, and qtr panel. The right hand doors and fender were replaced with used ones and the qtr panel repaired. There was no suspension damage and it was drivable before it was professionally repaired. The paint matches perfectly and there is no sign of the previous damage.
