Vehicle Detail

1968 AMC JAVELIN ** Auction ends on Saturday May 1st at 8:00 pm ** NO RESERVE AUCTION! Original 290 V8 car now comes with a 68-69 390 engine with block casting # 3190806 & Borg Warner Automatic Transmission. Original color looks to be torquoise with black interior. Power steering, Brakes and A/C. Equipped with automatic floor shift console. Pretty straight body thoughout. We were told the 390 motor had been completely rebuilt by someone in the Tri-Cities several years back. It has unknown miles on it and working condition of the engine is unknown at this time. Crank looks to be drilled for a 4 speed. It has what appears to be original style chrome valve covers on it with a tag with the number 204 W02 on one end. Intake manifold part number is 3191736. There is a Carter AFB carb on it with the numbers A8A 4665 S. Nearly new set of racing hedders (unknown brand) with dual exhaust out the back. Solid floor pans and solid trunk floor. Frame rails and cross sections are solid. Nice windshield. Stainless window trims are straight. Brakes stop well. Side and rear glass is good. Door panels and left and right rear seat panels are in nice condition. Arm rests are fair. Newer pair of high back reclining bucket seats included. Some of the weatherstripping and door seals are in poor condition from age. Front fenders and both doors are in pretty nice condition. Trunk lid is good, lip is not rusty. Rocker panel moldings are in good condition. Comes with a full set of it's original seat belts. Wiring harness seems to be complete and intact from front of car back to the tail lights. Center console looks complete and not busted up! Drum brakes all around. Doors open and close pretty well. Driveline and door sill moldings included. Rear axle ratio and if it has posi-trac is unknown. Hood and trunk lid shut/latch well. Rear valance looks straight and solid. Rear bumper has a small dent in it. Front bumper has some dents and dings in it but brackets may be useable. Rear tailight assemblies are complete but bezels may have some light pitting in the chrome and the lenses may have small scratches or chips on them. Dash gauges are complete and there is an 8,000 RPM tach in one hole. Most switches and controls seem to still function properly. There is a bracket and ash tray assembly included for the radio. There is a hole that was drilled in the back deck between window and trunk lid where a CB antenna was mounted once. The only known rust issues are seen on the left and right outer rear wheelhouse near the tops - so some patch work will be needed in those areas before painting. Things the car has missing are: grill, carpet, motor mounts, transmission bellhousing & torque converter, radiator, a/c condenser, transmission lines, a/c lines, air cleaner and radio. More pictures can be taken and e-mailed to interested persons. Most e-mailed questions answered fast. Set up a time between 8 am - 5 pm to view. This Javelin has not been licensed for street use since 1992 and has been kept in a garage for most of that time until recently when it was removed from it's long time storage. The climate stays dryer here on the east side! Clean and open State of Washington Title to winning bidder after car is paid in full. Car can be stored at it's current location for a few weeks until pick up is convenient. Note to winning bidder: You must make a $500.00 deposit through Paypal at auction end. - This could be a fun car to restore or a fine vehicle for parts - GOOD LUCK & THANKS FOR LOOKING!
