Up for bid is a 2000 NISSAN XTERRA, 4WD, FOUR DOOR, USED, WRECKED, ONE OWNER, CLEAR TITLE, 137,378 MILES. The vehicle has damage to the front and driver's side, also a small dent to the rear door from hitting a tree in the driveway, so it needs body work as well as some mechanical work. I don't have a detailed list of what it needs, so you'll have to review the pictures closely before bidding. It starts right up and is driveable, but would need to be towed because the inspection expired in February and it wouldn't be legal to drive. This has been a good, dependable SUV for us. If I knew how to fix it myself, I would, but I don't have those skills. This would be a nice project for someone with some bodywork and/or mechanical skills. The interior is clean with some wear and tear. It has all the standard equipment, and also a rear hitch, a new battery and a spare tire. The tires are good with tread. It comes with the owner's manual and two sets of keys. Things that I know are wrong with the vehicle: The damage shown in the photos. Horn/Cruise Control/Driver Air Bag - needs a new mechanism installed in the steering wheel to get these items to work. I got an estimate of $150.00 to fix this mechanism. Exterior paint is chipped in places. Back door has a dent and door is rusting in several areas. The CD player doesn't work - there is a Gordon Lightfoot CD stuck in it. I don't know for sure if it would work if the CD was taken out. There is an area on the driver's seat where the cloth has worn off. Inspection expired February 2010.
