Vehicle Detail
I do not have any action pictures of the car in its’ current iteration, so I have uploaded a video to youtube. You can watch it by copying this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I90SiLv5h7Y This is an in car video that will allow you to see the terrain the car goes through and also let you hear the engine. The video shows another baja not related to this auction. I have also reduced my reserve to $5000 as I would like to free up some space in my garage for a new project You couldn’t begin to buy the parts on this car for that. If you can see yourself driving this car, good luck in your bidding. This is a well built car designed truly to go off road… One to Two Feet Off Road! Yes, it can be jumped. A shallow 1 – 2 foot rise can be taken at speed. It has jumped the three small doubles at the local motocross facility. Catching air in a car is a blast! With a low final drive ratio, it can climb surprisingly steep hills and the suspension allows for 20-40 mph on most forest roads. Twin levers between the seats allow you to apply the rear brakes independently for sliding around corners. For night driving, there are five 100W lights mounted on a bar that is adjustable from inside the cockpit. Move it up for high speed driving, or down close to pierce through the dust. A Bikini Top and Full Soft Top allow for various levels of open air or sheltered experiences. There is separate on board storage for both tops as well as a lockable box in the back. The seats and harnesses have been designed to be easily removed for cleaning or service. The car is pre-wired to be towed, no switches or add on lights are needed. A four prong connector connects to the tow vehicle through a cable stowed under the front clip, lighting all of the car’s marker and stop/turn indicators. Tow bar included. It passed Colorado emissions on 3/26/08. While this car has won awards at two VW car shows, it is not a show car by any means. It has waves in the body and numerous chips and scratches from off road use. It is meant to be driven and enjoyed. The CB radio shown in the pictures is no longer in the vehicle, but the noise filter, antenna and antenna wiring remain. Payment accepted by PayPal or Cash in person upon pickup. I do my best to include good pictures and descriptions. Please e-mail me with any questions before bidding. Deposit required within 48 hours after end of auction.
