When I bought this car from the original owner in the mid 70s the floor, sills and lower sections of the doors were badly rusted. Thus in restoring the car these were replaced with parts from a donor car. The car was completely restored including engine, transmission, interior and convertible top. It was repainted in 1980. Since that time I would estimate I have put a maximum of 20,000 miles on the car; it was in storage for several years in the 90s while I lived abroad. Since returning the transmission has been rebuilt and the convertible top replaced with top-of-the-line rag. It has brand new tires. The car is is excellent condition although the paint on the hood and trunk lid is slightly faded and there a slight key chips around the locks. This car is not for a purist as the color is not original (it was originally pale blue), the vinyl top has been replaced with rag and the Tiger seats have been replaced with black industrial vinyl. However if you are looking a car that is unique, enjoyable and reliable this one would be difficult to beat.
