This cars engine is NOT Running right. 1999 Audi A-4 1.8 turbo 5 speed automatic tiptronic transmission with sport mode. vin# WAUCB28D2XA330072Car is actually 1999 and a half (made in the end of 1999) It has the Factory updated headlights, taillights door handles steering wheel making it identical to the A4 produced until 2002. Very well equipped, has dove white leather interior and sunroof. This cars engine is NOT Running right.I was on my was to Florida, the check engine light came on, the car started to misfire and lose power; I stopped had it towed to an Audi Dealership in Charleston, South Carolina. They installed new Master Coil (POS) $430.—..Audi has determined Cylinder # 4 has low compression, Audi believes it is the head gasket. We are the second owners97,000+ miles, mostly highway, back and forth to FloridaNO rust, Very clean for its age. All body panels in great condition. (Small shallow depression. Hardly noticeable on trunk lid) Passengers side front fog light bracket is broken but it still there just needs to be put back in.No other issues. Hot heat cold AC no electrical issues no check engine light issues before this incident. This car has never had any weird electrical gremlins Interior near new (one small cut in the drivers seat) I had a pen in my back pocket. This car was meticulously maintained by Audi.We recently replacedRadiator (full coolant flush)Timing belt and water pump.Brand new turbo. Alternator and tune up (windshield wipers, air filter, sparkplugs, synthetic oil change)Rear brakes (pads and rotors)Always used Mobil 1 or Audi synthetic oil.Brand new oil change before trip.Transmission fluid and filter.Newer Dunlop all season tires. Both (coded) keys included The only thing wrong with this car is it most likely needs a head gasket. It runs but poorly. Will need to be towed. The title is clean and signed. Ready to be handed over to new owner by Audi. The pictures were taken last month while in Vermont. This cars engine is NOT Running right. Please call or email with any questions.Leon Shabott (802) 309-8707leonshabott@yahoo.comThe dealership wants it out of there. Car MUST be picked up within one week (seven days) of auction. Payment is paypal only. Thanks! On Apr-19-10 at 18:19:41 PDT, seller added the following information: This is an email from one of the prospective buyers who contacted the Audi dealer directly, this was his email response to me about the conversation with the dealer: Hi: I talked to the dealer and he told me: (1) white smoke from the exhaust indicating coolant is getting into the combustion chamber. (2) No coolant in the oil. (3) He wants to replace the whole motor. I don't know why he wants to replace the whole motor and not just the head gasket but his cost for the motor is $4200 and about another $2K. for labor. Feel free to use as much or as little of the above as you choose. Personally, I would post points 1 and 2. I kind of suspect that the dealer would rather do a whole motor because he doesn't want to accept responsibility for a head job should it not fix the problem, so he is going for the safe and expensive repair. Please Everyone be aware that this car is going to need repairs. However every knowledgeable person I have spoken to believes it is just the head gasket. But who knows.
