2000 Nissan XTerra XEI know how important it is to receive an honest and accurate description of a used vehicle when purchasing it online. I want the potential buyer to know exactly what to expect so they do not have any surprises when receiving the vehicle. I have been on the other end of misleading auctions and it is frustrating. Therefore, I will do my best to provide every detail possible on the vehicle including minor issues that we have experienced.We purchased this XTerra last August as a temporary vehicle for my wife as we saved up for another vehicle. She just got the other car and we are ready to give the XTerra a new home. Condition:ExteriorThe exterior paint is good considering age.There are a few dings and scratches on the vehicle (see images).The worst scratch is right under the driver's keyhole (see images). It appears that a previous owner backed into a pole or something. This cause a small dented area right under the back window (see images). I imagine this is also what cracked the casing of the back wiper arm.The running boards are a nice feature and, with the red exterior paint, makes the vehicle look very sportyThe rood rack is a great addition for a road trip, camping, etc.The tires have ample tread and will last for a while. InteriorThe seats/floors have normal wear, but are pretty clean. No rips or tears. The stereo volume knob is a bit finicky. It requires being turned several times before registering a volume change. This can be frustrating, but it still eventually works.Stereo has a CD player. The A/C has had intermittent issues. It seems to go out for a few days and then it will magically start working again. When it is "not working," the air blows, but it is not cold. As of this listing, I can confirm that the A/C is currently blowing ice cold, but cannot guarantee anything. This may just be a loose connection or faulty relay somewhere. Since I am not sure when this may stop working again, you may want to consider the vehicle not to have A/C.The back seats go down to provide more cargo room.The back windows are tinted. Engine The engine runs well.We have had occasional issues with it overheating. When checking this, it always appeared that the radiator did not have enough coolant. After refilling, the vehicle would be fine until the coolant got too low again. This is probably caused by a leak in the coolant system or a slow leaking head gasket. When we were driving it, we just had to check the coolant levels about once a week or so and refill as needed.Transmission shifts smoothly. The timing belt was replaced 2,000 miles agoThe water pump was replaced 2,000 miles agoThe vehicle just had an oil change. General The vehicle has a clean and clear title. NOTE: After listing this vehicle, I looked at the history report that eBay provides. Much to my surprise, it appears that this vehicle actually has around 250,000 miles on it instead of what the odometer reads (136,000). We were not aware of this when we purchased it and even the title designates "Accurate Mileage." I am decreasing the starting bid based on this new information. Please bid accordingly. Since this is a used vehicle and is 10 years old, it is sold as-is with no warranty expressed nor implied. The buyer will be responsible for pickup or transportation of the vehicle from Nashville, TN. $500 Deposit is due within 48 hours after the auction close via PayPal. The remaining balance must be paid (and cleared) before the vehicle and the title are released. The balanced can be paid in cash if the buyer picks up the vehicle in person.
