This Pontiac is a project car that I have been working on for several years. Unfortunately, I have never been able to enjoy the car. The engine is a fresh rebuild with less than 1,000 miles of easy break in driving. The hardest the engine has been tested was when it was being dyno tuned here in Houston. I have made numerous upgrades to the car to improve the overall performance. Many $$$ have been spent on this car, it's time for me to let it go to someone who will continue on to make this a truly remarkable ride. The LT1 engine was originally rebuilt by a large F-Body shop in the Charlotte NC area in 2005. Using that shop proved to be a big mistake, shortly after getting the car home the problems with the rebuild became more and more evident. As a result, I ended up taking the car to Hawks Third Generation in upstate SC to get it straightened out. Bruce Hawkins proved to be an honest guy who took good care of my car. The engine was removed and rebuilt once again, review the pictures in this page. I do IT consultant work so I travel a lot. While Hawks had the car I relocated to Houston TX. I trailered the car back to Houston from SC only to discover that with all of the modification the car would not pass the emissions test here in Houston, SC had no such inspection. ;) I added some high flow catalytic converters, this did not resolve the problem either. So, the car has remained garaged except for an occasional late night drive. Without an inspection sticker and valid TX lic plate I only made a few spirited runs on a dark country road. Every item listed below has less than 1,000 miles of easy driving....practically new! Engine/Drivetrain: Less than 1,000 easy miles on rebuilt LT1 New/Upgraded engine parts: Cylinder Heads - Ported and Polished by Advanced Induction all new HP parts used. Stainless Works Hawks Long Tube Headers and Y-Pipe Arizona Speed and Marine 58mm throttle body - intake ported to match Bosch 42# Injectors Optispark Heavy Duty Timing Chain 6" Forged Rods Forged Pistons Timing Cover HP 1.6 Roller Rockers HP Hardened Push Rods Belts/Hoses TB Cold Air Intake with K&N filter Mufflex 4" Exhaust - Sounds GREAT! HP Cats HD Drive Shaft T56 Manual Transmission with Pro 5.0 Short throw shifter SPEC Stage 2 Clutch - only 300 miles. New Clutch Slave Cylinder Suspension/Brakes: QA1 Adjustable Coil Over Shocks in front BAER Claw Track Brake Calipers in front with 13" Baer 2 piece rotors Stock Calipers in the rear with 13" BAER 2 piece rotors SPOHN Tubular Upper Control Arms SPOHN Tubular Lower Control Arms SPOHN Torque Bar with Drive Shaft safety loop SPOHN Tubular K-Member SPOHN Adjustable Lower Control Arms SPOHN Sub-frame connectors, welded in. All utilize New Energy Suspension Component Bushings Wheels/Tires: 18" 2 piece Boze Styx Alloy wheels with Polished Lip and Brushed Aluminum Centers BF Goodrich KDW 2 Tires Interior: New Ignition Switch Cylinder installed - F-Body's are prone to issues with them and unfortunately I ran into it. Alpine Stereo with Hidden CD - The front of the unit opens and closes to allow access. All stock speakers were replaced with Phoenix Gold Note: Since I never really drove the car I never completed the stereo install. The system desperately needs a medium sized sub woofer to finish out the sound. The system produces practically no bass as is. I'm not sure if the AC works completely. I've never refilled the system with freon since the first engine rebuild. The fan blows air, just not cold.
