Vehicle Detail

1962 Ford F100 short bed unibody - - unibody only made three years, not many short beds floating around anymore!! This is a very cool little truck, I have put a lot of hours into this truck and I would rather not sell it but times are a changin' and I have to part with some of my priceless possesions. I have nothing to hide, and I will do my best to describe all facets of the truck that come to mind while typing this ad. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO ASK QUESTIONS!! low miles on freshened up 292 Ford Y-block vintage NOS Isky "hot cam" Sanderson Headers Edelbrock performer carburetor Hard to find factory Ford 4-barrel manifold (Holley flange, not haystack/christmas tree type) all new "bolt on parts" water pump, alternator etc. all stainless bolts on engine Aluminum 2-row radiator Painless* wiring harness all brakes recently rebuilt (most metal lines also replaced) Sacramento Vintage reversed eye mono drop leaves in the front 5 1/2" drop axle flip in rear 6" drop wide whites old school lake pipes (runs through them all the time) **people under-estimate the Ford Y-block, this truck won't set the world on fire but it'll wake a few people up!** This isn't the kinda truck you should buy if you're sensitive to loud noises, frightened of rust, if bumps in the road make you piddle in your shorts, if you require cup holders, power steering, seat warmers, tissue dispensers, hybrid-like gas mileage, or if you're looking to use this truck to commute a thousand miles per week while listening to classical music... :THAT BEING SAID: If you CAN appreciate a traditional style hot rod or "rat rod" that will lay down copius amounts of rubber and make your ears ring after a high speed blast through the countryside. . this is the truck you want... lets not forget the attention and respect a truck such as this commands. The truck really does run excellent, drives as it should, all the lights work, gas gauge has an attitude due to a decaying sending unit, never installed a speedo cable. body speaks for itself, floors have been replaced although they weren't painted so even though they appear nasty, they are actually very solid. The drip rails were "shaved" and whoever welded them up must have really liked to weld while high or blindfolded(its solid, but there is a lot of extra weld to grind down) there are a couple of patch panels tacked in, one by myself, so its legit.. and one by the blindfolded welding bandit who owned it before I did. The only cancer that I should address is the bed floor, see picture (needs about 12 inches replaced). I am including a very nice chrome grill (correct 1962 grill) and a brand new chrome front bumper with the truck if the sale price meets/exceeds $3800 I will sell seperately if that isn't met. I am sure that I'm forgetting all kinds of stuff, as you know when you spend hundreds of man hours on a vehicle such as this you tend to forget some of the items along the way
