dvbouw Store Here is stunning original,1979 Mercedes-Benz, 450SL classic roadster with original low mileage. The car will be sold to the highest bidder (NO RESERVE) HISTORY: This car was kept in excellent original condition and was carefully maintained and kept garaged at all times. In 1979 It began it’s life in Charlotte North Carolina. In 1983 it moved to Colorado. I bought it in the spring of 2008. It came with a complete history, back to the original owner, in a loose leaf notebook, which verifies the 74,600 mileage. THE BODY: The body is in superb condition, never had any rust body work. Always garaged, so all trim, bumpers, and rubber are all in great shape. The engine compartment, trunk, doorjambs, and inner areas are super clean and it shows! The paint is original, therefore it does have a few blemishes but it looks great and shines brilliantly, as you can see. This car has still has the working Becker Mexico AM FM radio, with Touch Bar tuning and a cassette tape player. It also has a rare accessory, Heated Seats, along with air condition, power steering, power windows, cruise control and auto climate control. The climate control needs work, but the air condition blows real cold. THE DRIVE TRAIN: The engine does not burn oil and has had a recent tune-up, including cleaning injectors. The transmission, suspension, power steering and brakes work good. The optional factory chrome wheels were added in 1987, along with new Michelin Sport tires, when the car had 65,326 miles on it. This means the tires now only have 9300 miles and have plenty of tread on them, but they should be replaced due to age. This auction will be ended early if the car is sold locally.
