This is not the M model, but has the M factory upgrade package (steering wheel, shift knob, et cetera). Comes with the original owners manual, floor mats, and other standard accessories. I just replaced all four tires to the tune of $1,200. Vehicle is in great condition inside and out. Wear and tear is normal for an 8 year old vehicle, but it has low miles and I have taken care of it. No after market enhancements have been made to the vehicle. Everything is stock (M upgrades were factory upgrades). This car is a blast, it's fast, corners well, et cetera. I hate to see it go. I have title in hand. I believe there was one owner prior to my purchasing it a few years ago (from a new Ford dealership in Castle Rock, CO). I've owned it about 3 years and have put about 15k miles on it. It has been garaged the entire time. I have it detailed inside and out quite often. It is NOT a smoker vehicle. I'll cooperate with shipping for any out of state buyers. He asked me some service-related questions. Here is my response: "I'm pretty sure I did the brakes, and I don't think I did the rotors. I also replaced the battery about 6 months ago. I don't have the records, but I only get it serviced at a new BMW dealership. When I lived in Colorado I used to get it serviced at Ralph Schomp BMW - (800) 432-4545?, and since I moved here to Utah I get it serviced at BMW of Murray - (888) 387-0221. I believe though you can call any BMW dealership, give them the VIN number, and they can give you a copy of the service records. If for whatever reason they need authorization from me let me know."On Apr-16-10 at 07:51:32 PDT, seller added the following information: Based on all the questions I've received, I did a bunch more digging around to get more details. Here you go: 1. I called BMW of Murray (here in UT) and other than oil changes and replacing the battery, I haven't done anything service related with the BMW since I moved to UT in June of 2008. 2. BMW of Murray can't tell me what happened at other BMW dealerships, except what was done while it was under warranty. 3. While it was under warranty it had a leak fixed where the oil hose connects to the oil pump, and the button on the drivers side seat belt was replaced. 4. I called Ralph Schomp BMW (Littleton, CO) where I used to live and they won't give me any information unless I go to the dealership. This is a problem because I don't live in CO. I requested and spoke with the service manager, but he wouldn't help me. I have only ever taken it to BMW dealerships for servicing. 5. I remember paying for a couple things other than oil changes when I lived in CO. To the best of my memory it was a 30k or 40k tuneup and brake pads. Don't count on that though, because I can't remember definitively, and the last thing I want is that whoever buys the car thinks I misled them.6. The new tires are made by Toyo, and they are performance tires. 7. I looked under the car and there is no rust or other visible problems. It sits (as you know) real low to the ground though so it's not super easy to see way underneath it. 8. Everything in the car works, including the lights, air conditioner (blows cold air just fine), power windows, radio, and CD player. 10. The only thing missing from the interior of the car is the cigarette lighter. I don't smoke, and I have a radar detector, so I took out the cigarette lighter plug and I haven't attempted to find it yet. I remember seeing the plug somewhere in my garage but it might be that I end up not being able to find it. 11. One thing that I have noticed ever since I owned the car is that the feature where the automated feature where the radio gets quieter/louder as the car accelerates/decelerates sometimes doesn't work and you have to manually turn the radio up or down. It doesn't happen much, but once in awhile. It's never got worse, so I don't know that it will ever need attention. 12. I have 3 keys with the built-in remote for the car. The car came with two, but I bought an extra key for around $250. The key I use all the time is getting worn out. The automatic lock/unlock function only works from like 5-10 feet away (maybe it needs a battery). Since I don't drive the BMW much it's never really bothered me enough to switch keys with one of the other two. 13. I have owned a lot of nice cars, but that said, I'm about as dumb as they come when it comes to all things mechanical. I just love a car that is high performance and special. 14. What I can't tell you (other than the service done under warranty) is what happened to the car before I owned it. I assume since it was a nice car new that it was well taken care of, and there was no visible abuse when I bought it, that it was taken care of then as well. I don't know if it has had any body work done on it previously, but the Carfax is clean so I assume it's never had any problems. The car is very clean so far as I know and can tell, but I'm not an expert so you might see flaws I don't even notice. Additionally, the car is 8 years old and has 46k or so miles on it, so obviously is not a new car. There's no fading problems or anything like that though. 15. This car has the M54 engine in it. 16. There is NO wheel rash on the wheels (when the wheels hit a curb). They're in perfect shape. 17. There is a 1 inch crack in the tint on the drivers side window. The tint on the back is factory tint, but I had the tint on the front two windows added after I bought the car. 18. On the drivers side door armrest there is a small mark (about where your elbow would land) that is about 1/4 the size of a dime or nickel. It's not real noticeable, but it is there. 19. I think it's visible in one of the picture, but on the drivers side floor mat there is a spot where the threads have been worn out where the heel of the foot sits in front of the accelerator. The floor mats are original.
