Recently we sold a couple of Classic Mercedes and now another one popped up on our lot. We bought this as a classic 1989 Mercedes Benz that starts, runs, and drives and still turns heads- in fact this one is ready to drive anywhere in our opinion. We specialize in Porsches, so rather than keep this car we are selling it wholesale to the public as a clean driver with good potential for a collector car in the right hands. If you are watching this auction, you probably know much more about this car than we do. We know that it starts runs and drives without any issues. The engine looks to be well kept, recently serviced, and runs without any knocks or noises and doesn't smoke. This car is very clean all around inside and out- it's hard to believe that it is a 1989!! The car's transmission seems to work fine without any grinding or lurching. I drove it for 50 miles around town without any noted issues and on the highway she pulled very strong and tracks straight. The body looks great with just a few small dings here and there and the paint is glossy and shines up nicely with only a few small blemishes and bubbles in the paint- I'd say excellent condition for an original '89. The interior looks original and is in really good condition overall as well. The panels and seats look clean and the leather is clean and free of tears. The ODO seems to work fine and we are told the mileage is accurate. The front passengers window needs a switch or a regulator becasue it is not working but all others are working. The sunroof motor is turning but it is not opening so it looks to require someone putting it back on track. Also, the switches are not turning the air conditioning on so one might have to do a little work to get all the gadgets working the right way- as would be exepcted with a car like this. It also has the SRS light on, which is more the rule than the exception with older mercedes. Overall it is a great looking car that has a lot of potential and can be appreciated as is- or taken to the next level. The tires are practically brand new so come get this car and drive it anywhere! It has the original owners manual. This is a really nice SEL, I'm not sure you can find a cleaner one out there that hasn't been restored. Take home this car for a fraction of its value.
