This Porsche Cayenne S was purchased by us as inventory for sale and when we took delivery...it ran absolutely great. There was a large speaker box installed which took up most of the luggage space in the SUV. We had 1 of our lot techs take and remove the speakers, upon doing so the vehicle refused to start any longer as it was looking for a security code. We believe it had to do with not unhooking the battery terminals. We had brought it to several shops over the past several months with no luck. We were told it needed a special tool to enter this code, we were told it needed a new steering column that the sensor which provided this security code was located in the steering column and couldn't be replaced. Finally the last shop thinks it needs a computer or some sort of relay which has to do with the main computer. The bottom line is I have no idea why it won't start and we have decided to sell it "AS IS WHERE IS" The starting price is a price we have received from a local scrap yard, everything on this car was great, we replaced the Battery, the AC blew cold, the transmission shifted as it should, the engine ran smooth with plenty of power, the body is in great shape the interior looks good, the wheels and tires are in good condition, this will either be a great car once fixed or certainly a very valuable parts car so good luck this is our loss and hopefully your gain.
