Vehicle Detail
This is a rust free Texas car (most of it's life) and even the frame is only surface rust. I bought it several years ago and began searching for an engine and transmission. I finally found one in Long Island so drove my suburban up there to pick it up. I installed the motor/trans into the chassis but never had time to hook up the computer and other electricals. I bought most of the missing parts and had them stored in our shop. The shop burned to the ground last spring but fortunately the car was outside. The left side of the car was closest to the shop and grass burned up to the left front tire and the drivers side door. It popped the tire and partially melted the lower door protective texture skin. Check the pics. to see what's missing. I photographed some new parts I bought that were in a storage unit and so not burned. I'm 75 years old and without a shop to work on the car so decided to sell as is. One of you youngsters will have the will and resources to make this a running driving car and you will experience driving the quickest production car of 1986 and 1987, including the Corvette! I have had the pleasure of owning 3 of these and driving one to work (102 miles round trip) to my job as an engineer for Orscheln Brake Co. That car now has 275,000 miles on it and has a burned piston. The second one I had I bought ebay from Arkansas with 70,000 miles on it I drove it for several years before going to sleep at the wheel and rear ending a Jeep CJ7. The guy thought he had a blowout since he was going 55 and I was doing 70 with the cruise on. 15 MPH collision. Long story short is when I got through driving sideways in a road ditch and hooking the rear bumper the only straight panels on it were the roof and both doors! I sold that one on ebay for 5,115. I am hoping to get a minimum of $5,000. To pay my annual rent in an R/V park in Apache Junction, Az. Happy bidding!
