I picked up this pickup from a friend as he wanted out of his driveway before the snow flies. This was his secondary truck and he used it mainly to haul trash and firewood. He told me it was overheating when I made the deal with him. When I picked it up and drove it 20 miles it did not overheat. There is a check engine light on (I believe pertaining to the overheating issue) but there is no power to the OBDII plug so I can't verify the code for sure at this time. He also stated that it needs new brakes. There is brake peddle travel to indicate that the pads are worn. This is a 2005 Ford F-150 FX4 Crew Cab pickup. It has higher mileage. It has a 5.4 triton v-8, automatic and 4 wheel drive. It does have a keypad entry and remote key fob. I've tried to capture all the problem spots to indicate as much of a true condition of the truck as possible. The tires need to be replaced, they are about to the end of their tread life. I would suggest a new thermostat and changing the coolant, that I believe would solve any possible overheating issue. The interior is extremely dirty with a lot of dog hair and cigarette smoke. I've tried to cover all the issues I could find at the moment but there might be some other issues that I have not noticed. Keep in mind this is a truck that has spent its entire life in Illinois and Iowa. This is being listed as is where is for quick auction or buy it now sale. Highest bidder will win it.
