This 2002 Ford Focus ZX3 has been a great running car and at 281,000 miles does not burn a drop of oil. The mechanic that I take it to told me he had never seen a motor like this that doesn't burn oil. I guess when I bought this car I got lucky in that respect. I have always used Mobil 1 synthetic 0W20 oil and changed it every 5000 miles at least.The 5 speed manual transmission has been worked on a couple times and the clutch replaced as with normal wear and tear on a manual transmission. The synchronizer in the transmission could use some work as I have to shift into 2nd gear, then down to first when accelerating from a stop. It may have a burr worked up on it that needs to come off. (at least that's what a transmission mechanic told me).Since it's a 5 speed it gets about 30 miles per gallon. It does have some rust on it as you can see in the photos and a couple dents. When the muffler came off, and since this is an extra car, I figured it was time to sell it. So, it does need a muffler and some body work. My son was driving it in the spring here in Michigan and hit a pothole. That bent a rim, blew a tire, and busted a strut that hit the inside of the hood and put a hole in it. I spent about $1000 getting all that fixed including 2 new tires, a new aluminum rim, new lug nuts, new front strut, and an alignment and new sway bar. I've also had a full tune up recently and a new fuel pump put in. It used to stall when I came to a stop and no one could figure out why. Once the fuel pump was replaced this year it's been running great. The gas tank has new straps and hardware on it because that had to be removed and reinstalled to put the fuel pump in. There may be some other minor things that I can't think of at the moment but it runs and drives good. There is a newer after market radio in it that you can have with the car. I'll even throw in a Chilton's repair and maintenance manual as well. If you have any questions, would like to test drive it, make an offer, etc. please contact me.
