Vehicle Detail

These cars are EXTREMELY undervalued. While they are blessed by being cheap to fix because the parts are readily available, this is still a sexy, Italian, open top sports car designed by Pininfarina. It's shockingly affordable and fun. They made roughly 200,000 of them over the production run and due to accidents and the lack of corrosion protection, only something around 8,000 are said to survive today. This one here is simply a great example of the beautifully designed 1981 Fiat 124 Spider 2000. With the same family since 1997 and not road registered since 2006, she has been taken care of, started and run regularly over the years and is in VERY nice, clean, great driving condition. It even has its 2 original keys and the original tool roll with matching blue strap! Engine:The engine bay is very nice and tidy with nothing out of place and it still has most of the original stickers which is unheard of -meaning the car was probably never in rain-. The addition of Bosch fuel injection was a much needed kick for the 1,995cc engine and makes it genuinely quick. Sounds great, pulls hard. Because of the lack of power the mid year cars have, the early 124's and 1980+ are the most valuable with the later cars like this being a completely different feeling, very fun package. Body: Paint looks to be original all around with no signs of accidents or repairs anywhere. There are a few minor bumps and bruises however not close to commensurate -cool word- with age. All of the rockers are great, glass is great, chrome is good, top has one seam that's started to come un-sewn but is very nice. biggest knock is the rear deck lid obviously was nicked by luggage, there is a silver dollar size piece of surface rust where the rack was and then along the edge a bit. Other than that It even has it original tool roll with matching strap. For these cars to be this rust free is close to a miracle. Interior:The beautiful dark blue interior has held up extremely well and the wood is perfect. Still with the original shift-knob and smells like an Italian factory before lunch... The trunk area is very clean, complete with tools and jack and the 5th alloy wheel. In conclusion, this car is awesome. It should be bought by someone who is actually going to enjoy it. Whether a seasoned Fiat collector or first time toe-dipper, you will not be disappointed. It's beautiful, fun to drive and a great short or long term investment. You can feel comfortable with this purchase and will probably stand to make a good amount of money in the end. No reserve so your bid does count. I can help with international shipping... and no, I'm not a dealer.
