1978 Ford LTD Landau Four Door Hardtop. 75th Anniversary of the Ford. Just came from New Mexico. Odometer shows 124,200. We just noticed that it starts up fine and idles well, but when it's put into Drive, the engine will quit within a minute or so. We're experts on 1932-53 Fords, but not mid-'70s Fords! If you're into these cars, you can probably fix it and have a very nice car. It's very clean but does have some typical rust along the bottom inside edge of the doors at the seams. No rust through. Good tires. Nice interior. We believe it needs a valve cover gasket as there is a bit of oil below the cover. Fairly typical, we're told. Starting bid is a very reasonable $1495. If you like a big, plush, rear-wheel drive car (like they usta make) this is the one for you! The car is in our Museum in Auburn, Indiana. See photos.
