I do not use the words/phrases "Rare", "Pristine", "Immaculate", "Time capsule", and "Show Car quality" lightly. This example of a 1999 500SL truly warrants those types of accolades as it exemplifies the absolute best of the best . Mechanically: A-1! - engine, exhaust, brakes, tires, suspension, no-leaks, all-power/electric equipt.,etc. In short, if it needed fixing - it got fixed = "no excuses". Even things that often go wrong on these cars like the power antenna and CD changer work like new. Cosmetically: "Exceptional throughout" Body: No rust, door dings, scratches, etc. "Flawless Original"; What pushes it to "show car" status is NO fade, as this high energy color tends to lose it's luster under Florida/Texas/Arizona/etc. sun after 10+ years. Interior: you can hardly tell anyone ever sat in this car (free of the typical wear showing on = steering wheel, driver's seat bolster, and factory floor mats).BOTH sets of keys (a pretty big thing) , Original Window Sticker, and Owner's manual (all additional inserts). Clean title (in my name) with NO accidents.This car also features : 46k well maintaned actual miles. Ordered with EVERY option (w/working power wind screen) SL1 Package: Sport "AMG Package" with rare chrome version AMG wheels SL2 Package: Xenon lights,(if you see the little wipers on one - that is standard/not Xenon) heated seats, integrated CD changer. Color - "Magma Red" (#586)- Rare high demand (they offered different reds) - combined with the chrome AMG wheels = this car really pops! (makes a lot of difference) (#239) Nappa Leather interior - Nappa- first offered in '99 and is so much softer then the previous leather in SL500's. (The perfect interior on a really hot sunny day with the top down).Bottom line: This is the perfect car for someone who is very particular and demands excellence (Easily top 1-5% in existence). My problem is this car goes into storage about this time so I can't enjoy all year like I could when I was in Texas.
