***Please read whole ad*** Even if you end up not being interested in my 1985 corvette id like for you to know how the 1985 corvette shook the performance car world. ☺ This is my 1985 Corvette I've owned it for a little over a year now and have done ALOT of work to it. Most of the stuff that I have done to it I have receipts for. I have a giant binder that I've been keeping the receipts in since the day I got it. The first thing i had done to it when i bought it was pull the motor and completely rebuild it. It was done by a local shop here. It was built to their stage 2 engine specs. It has aftermarket heads with 1.5 roller rockers. The camshaft is a Crane 2040 compucam. The motor also had a Pete Jackson gear drive. Motor is said to be making 330hp now versus the stock 230hp it had from the factory. I upgraded to a 4 core aluminum radiator as well for the new power plant. The Transmissions has also been serviced and shifts amazing. Most recently it has brand new rims and Firestone tires with less than 500 miles on them. I had it repainted Corvette red although that was not the original color of the vehicle. This car does have the z51 performance package from the factory. The suspension has brand new KYB shocks at every corner. The car also has a in dash DVD player. The instrument cluster works perfectly ! I had it sent out and refurbished buy a company that specializes in these digital gauge clusters. All the switches in the center work in correlation with the guages as well. Mechanically everything works on the car I have no hesitation about hopping in this car and driving anywhere in the u.s. tomorrow ! The car is a absolute BLAST to drive ans puts a smile on your face everytime you put your foot down on the accelerator. I always get people talking to me about the car at the cars and coffee meets i go to. Me and my wife have has many awesome nights with the top off just cruising our worries away. She is a little cold blooded and you got to keep your foot on the gas as she warms up after that then she's fine. I'm guessing the computer needs a tune to fix that little issue. I'm sure it has something to do with the aftermarket camshaft that's in it. This car has a perfect score on carfax and i have included the photos of the report. 0 wrecks or any other issues with documented miles. This car isnt a perfect museum piece but it has amazing bones and is a real fun car to own. ☺ The pros of the vehicle are:1985 corvette Z51 performance packageDocumented milesAmazing car facts report The cons of the vehicle are:AC is currently not workingDoor jams are not same color as car. Headlights stay in the position you see them. I have a very close friend in the auto transport industry. If you need a quote for shipping anywhere in the u.s. just let me know. Please feel free to contact me with any other questions as well. Here are some excerts from magazine articles about the 1985 corvette: -1985 corvette The 1985 Corvette will go 150 miles per hour. Think about that. Three or four years ago, American enthusiasts were wondering if the American performance car was dead forever -The 1985 is a different kind of car. It does everything better than the 1984 model did, and it does several things better than most cars, period. -In 1985, the Chevy Corvette sold for approximately half of the comparably equipped Porsche 928, yet was capable of handling/performing at the same level as the German Sportscar. In fact, when doing a performance comparison of the 1985 Corvette and the Porsche 928, the Corvette outran the Porsche and was named the “Fastest Car In America” after hitting top speeds of 150 miles per hour. The results of this survey, combined with the return of the Corvette to racing circuits in 1985, were so unsettling to the Porsche engineers that they bought two 1985 Corvettes, shipped them to Germany and took them apart in an attempt to determine what made them so quick.
