For sale is a Rare, factory-built year 2000 Ford Ranger all electric vehicle (EV) with 8,500 miles. Truck is never in an accident and has a clean body and straight axle, no corrosion just one dent on left side next to the rear bumper and a few scratches. It's been sitting in storage since 2012, and the original battery pack is dead. Truck has power brake/power steering/AC/Heat/CD/Radio, and all mechanical works before the battery dead; However,truck is not running now. However, you can replace the 39 X 9-Volt original lead acid batteries to 25 X 12-Volt lead acid batteries, (People are doing it and I can send you instructions upon request) and the truck will be running again. Trust me! I am 63 years old and don't want a truck. The EV comes with two Avcon original chargers and a Ford diagnostic computer tool, which can be used for EV or regular Ford vehicle just by switching the magnetic card as shown in the picture. Operating and maintenance costs are low….no oil changes….just plug it in to fill it up with a charge. The car even makes its own energy when the accelerator is released and the electric motor generates a charge to the battery. It is powered by a rear-mounted 90-hp electric motor with a top speed of 70 mph and a range of up to 65 miles. Clean title and I have regular automobile insurance on the truck. HISTORY: The Ford Ranger EV was developed and produced by the Ford Motor Company as part of a California Air Resources Board requirement for zero emission vehicles during the 1990s. Approximately 1500 vehicles were produced from 1998 to 2001. Unfortunately, most of these trucks were crushed along with the GM EV1 and similar vehicles from the other major automobile manufacturers.
