Vehicle Detail
This PC was stored almost its entire life. It only has 3,600 original miles on it. Its just barely "broken-in". Everything on it is original, except for the tires of course, they are brand-new. And the air & oil-filters, as well as all the fluids are all new. The brake-pads are the originals, OEM Honda. I cleaned the scooter up & polished the paint, so the Manga-red color is insanely deep & lustrous. Pictures DO NOT DO THE MAGNA-RED PAINT ANY JUSTICE !!! I've never seen such a deep red before. And I'm a Custom painter/Body-man. As I was cleaning it I was simply just blown-away that I was actually cleaning an almost brand-new motorcycle that had been stored for 20-years ! How cool. And I've cleaned many a motorcycles in my 45 years of owning & riding them. This scooter is in absolute excellent to mint condition. Especially for its 20-year age. Sure, its got a few very tiny reminders that its not straight off the Showroom floor....but it sure looks like it's Brand-new. Even to the trained, discerning eye, like mine. The woman, who has become a friend of mine, her name is Anna, who stored it back in 2001, stopped riding it in 2001 because one time at a stop light she lost her balance & wasn't able to keep the scooter upright through her own strength alone...so she literally had to carefully lay it down on its right side. And from the weight alone, it damaged the front-right crash-bars plastic cover only, underneath it, where you cant even see it, unless you get on your knees & look under the cover. Please see it in the picture. Now, before you start judging, please take a hard look at your own faults. We are ALL guilty of dropping a motorcycle once or twice. I've dropped each of my Harleys once. And one time while in a hurry, I even started one of them in gear, thinking it was in neutral of course (because I have a habit of always putting my scooters in neutral upon shutting them down, except for this ONE TIME Ha ! Ha ! ) and it launched forward, but I was able to muscle it down to its left side, ever so softly. But just the same. I haven't done it since. Knock on wood. So, this woman also came into some medical issues at the same time in 2001, and that was the deciding factor for her to put the PC away. So, I was going to replace that cover w/another one I found On-line for $25, but I wanted to keep this scooter as honest & "Original" as possible. I wanted to be able to say that ..."THIS PC800 HAS ONLY 3,600 ORIGINAL MILES & IT IS COMPLETELY ORIGINAL" !!! So, I didn't replace it. I decided to leave replacing it up to the new owner. Because whether its replaced or not, IS NOT going to change the value and/or its price whatsoever ! Same w/being dropped. Being dropped or not, WILL NOT change its value and/or its price ! And if a potential buyer tries to whittle me down on the price, simply because of the cracked $25 plastic piece, and the fact that its been dropped, I'll tell that potential buyer the $25 cost for a replacement plastic cover has already been figured into the $5K asking price, and to go look for another PC800 elsewhere, because I refuse to deal w/anyone who looks at a 20-year old Classic motorcycles in that manner. This damaged plastic-cover is the ONLY damage on the ENTIRE scooter. Again, I could replace that plastic cover & no one would ever know any different. And I could STILL say its ALL ORIGINAL. But, I'm proud to say that I'm an honest man. Plus, I build custom Harleys as a hobby. And I absolutely love & appreciate the value of an automobile when it is 100% original ! And that's simply because its only original ONCE in its lifetime. And there's way too many people out there who molest & simply destroy their automobiles by customizing them when they should not be ! So, I needed to keep this scooter 100% original, and the only way to do that is to keep it honest. The seats are absolutely EXCELLENT, all the black powder-coated steel brackets on this scooter, like the passenger-seats grab-bar frame, that you can see in pic's under the grab-bars & the engine guards,(crash-bars) under the covers, are all in such excellent to mint condition. And this scooter "can" come w/"both" passenger & riders back-rests (Riders is fully-adjustable & is also leather) for an extra cost. (I MAY throw them in FREE of charge upon its sale for $5K. That's approx'y a $300 value, for both backrests, but for FREE !) Please look On-line to see how much these back-rests cost for these PC800's. They are costly. And locating the original Riders back-rest is really hard to find, if non-existent. And I scoured all the PC800 hot-spots & still haven't found an "original" rider back-rest. Which is kind of odd, seeing there are still boatloads of original/used parts for these PC800's available. If you plan on riding this PC any significant distances, you definitely will want & need to do so in comfort w/the back-rests. (I installed the rear passenger back-rest just for "show". It is NOT included in $5K sale. Except, as I mentioned earlier, if someone pays $5K cash, I may give them to that person free of charge. MAYBE. And this is NOT COERCION) The front back-rest is very nice, it folds all the way forward & down flat to allow passengers ease of entrance & exit. And is much larger than the rear back-rest. Id say twice as large. And has a radius to it so it conforms to the curvature of your back. I also added & installed Harley-Davidson style oem highway-pegs for the rider. (They are included in the sale) So there are 3-different locations to place your feet, while riding for comfort & anti-fatigue. This scooter is so NEW....that upon starting, whether already warmed up and/or particularly "stone cold", when you just "touch" the starter button, this scooters V-twin engine simply comes to life instantly & Purrrrs ! Literally "Purrrrs". You don't even need to pull the choke out for it to start Cold ! But once you do start it COLD, you will need to pull the choke out just an 1/8" to keep it running for a minute or two to warm it up. Then ya kill the choke. This PC800 is truly A LOT of fun to ride & is a pure joy to own. Its so nimble & so easy to maneuver just like a Sport/Track bike, like a Ninja or CBR. But yet, is set-up & comfortable for long-distance touring. I've been genuinely enjoying riding it, A LOT ! And have found myself wanting to keep it, and add it to my small, humble collection of scooters. Because my "Go-to" choice of 2-wheel scooters is my Custom Harley-Davidson(s) that I've built. Although, this PC800 is a very cool & unique experience all in itself. And if I sell it, I'll definitely kick myself in the ass after the fact ! Especially several years down the road when these PC800's become highly sought after & very valuable. But, whatever fate has in store for me & this sweet PC800 is to be seen. If I don't sell it for $5K by the time its time to Winterize all my scooters, which is in 30-days, then that's a "Sign" that I'm definitely keeping it, and adding it to my collection. Again, its only got 3,600 miles. Its 20-years young. I have the Vermont title in-hand. Its just like new. Its truly a TIME-CAPSULE. So, if you are a SERIOUS & GENUINE motorcycle enthusiast, and a SERIOUS PC800 buyer, and want an almost MINT PC800, and you're not one of these cheap individuals, who has no value for motorcycles like this PC800, and would rather buy a $2,000 - $3,500 used PC800's, that are neglected, and has 30K - 60K miles on it, just to save yourself some $, then you don't deserve to own this beauty. That's FOR SURE ! The guy or gal who deserves to own this PC800, is one who has significant knowledge & has significant respect & value for motorcycles in general....and obviously for a very well stored, well taken care of & well maintained PC800. And is the type that wont settle for one of those typical used & abused PC800's that are a dime a dozen out there w/30K-50K miles on them & is at that stage of needing some to a lot of repairs & replacement parts. I have been getting a clear look at the type of person who follows & buys these PC's. And the more I deal w/them....the more I'm realizing that they are very very cheap, and they are not true genuine Motorcycle enthusiasts. I say that w/the utmost respect, because they lack the respect that it takes to take care of & maintain a motorcycle. And they treat their motorcycle(s) (PC800's) like they are disposable. And they have NO respect or value for their motorcycle. And that's been very clear & evident in every PC800, and its owner that I have personally looked at & spoken to in person. Each & every one has been abused & neglected at one level or another And the owners could really care less. Proving my idea of the type of owner that buys & owns a PC800. Its something I cant comprehend. Now, if I was selling one of my Harleys', it would have SOLD ALREADY ! I HAVE NEVER HAD A SCOOTER TAKE THIS LONG TO SELL ! And its NOT because of the asking price...its because of the TYPE of buyer ! (Now please know that not EVERY SINGLE PC800 owner is like this ! THERE ARE MANY A VERY PROUD FEW WHO DO RESPECT & VALUE THEIR PC's, so much so that they understand what quality & value is ! And to those owners, keep up the good work !) And when I see someone who could care-less about their motorcycle, especially a motorcycle like the PC800, it truly boggles my mind & truly upsets me. I go to great lengths to take such good care of my motorcycles, and others too. So anything short of simple, basic maintenance, I cant comprehend. That's why it BLOWS MY MIND that these PC800 "followers", "enthusiasts", who are supposed to be Honda's PC800's biggest "fans", would rather buy a VERY used PC800, that has paint-damage, scratches, rust & corrosion all over it, and has been ridden hard & been neglected, w/lets say an average of 40K miles on it, for $3,000........INSTEAD of buying one that ONLY has 3,600 miles on it, and is in EXCELLENT condition (so they could not only maintain & continue it's AWESOME condition, and BE PROUD OWNER OF SUCH A BEAUTIFUL OLD SCOOTER ) but could still truly enjoy an almost New PC800, for an extra $1K - $1.5K ! And, reep ALL the obvious benefits from buying & owning an almost New PC800 ! I JUST DONT GET IT. If I had a choice of buying a newer F350 Truck, or one that was used hard & showed it, I'd be doing everything I could to buy the newer F350 truck ! Mainly because I'd want that "Newness".......that "Freshness".......that longevity, and that exclusive well taken care of "Newer truck condition". W/out any thought really. So, for all you "WATCHERS" out there in eBay-land, coveting this sweet PC800 & wishing you had the "spine" to simply step up & buy yourself an almost New, beautiful PC800 for $5,000, but because you don't value and/or respect Motorcycles, like 90% of the Nations genuine enthusiasts do, you'd rather buy & own a used, high-mileage PC800 that's covered w/rust, corrosion and paint damage, just to save some $ !? If so, I feel sorry for you. And I'm not saying that in any patronizing and/or cruel manner either. I'm truly sincere about that, because you are missing out on a "quality" side of life that you deserve. Everyone deserves. And let me tell ya....its an incredible side of life that I wouldn't trade for any other way of living. It simply is all about living a higher-quality life. So, if any of you "Watchers" are serious about treating yourself to a once in a lifetime PC800 ownership, by buying one of the nicest PC800's that I've EVER seen thus far, than please give me a call @ 802-324-0707. My name is Richard. And I'll even go out of my way to help you get this PC800 to your home. If you're in New-England, I may even deliver it RIGHT TO YOUR DOOR-STEP ! And that's only because I'm a super nice guy,.....and because I LOVE TO RIDE ! If I didn't have to work for a living...I'd be riding my Touring HD ALL over the world NON-STOP ! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE TO RIDE & SEE THE WORLD FROM THE SADDLE OF A MOTORCYCLE ! Its the next realistic & best thing next to flying around & seeing the USA. Ha ! Ha ! I reserve the right to end this ad anytime. Also, the mileage is increasing slowly, as I enjoy riding it. Thank you !
