This listing is for the ENGINE of this car. The rest of the vehicle is ***FREE*** and as described below. E53 4.4L ENGINE ENGINE and 2001 BMW X5. 166,450 original miles but at 156,000 this engine got open heart surgery: new VANOS system, new timing chain tensioner, new ignition coils, new plugs, and other internal parts so lots of life left in this engine, runs very strong, idles very smooth. Car can be fixed if you like, or used for parts; features AWD, sunroof, newer tires with plenty of thread left, 18" sport wheels, good glass, straight body, no damage, no rust, a few scratches on rear bumper. Over $20,000 spent in maintenance during last three years alone, have all records available for inspection to document maintenance. About $5,000 of that spent on engine alone, engine is very solid and runs very strong. Car has been maintained over its life at local BMW dealer or BMW shops, all records available. New catalytic converters, new water pump, radiator hoses, suspension air bags, newer tail light assemblies, new flex joint coupling, and many other components have been replaced with original BMW parts. Car runs but transmission needs to be serviced/overhauled. Passenger door and one rear door only open from inside (need a plastic hook part replaced). Starter switch needs to be replaced. Will need brake pads soon. Cosmetically car shows very nicely, still a stately and elegant car, all body panels without damage, good glass (tinted windows all around). Black leather interior, front seats with adjustable leg support, leather is good, no rips or tears. Rear windows have privacy screens. CD player, AM/FM radio, air conditioning, all power windows, power seats, Sports Package option (18" tires and wheels plus other items). Has the BMW cel phone option and the built-in charger.
