Vehicle Detail
To all bidders, I apologize for the confusion. The bike is in Clearlake CA 95422 as stated in the description. Apparently when I listed the bike, there was nowhere to put the item's location. I called ebay and they have fixed the problem on their end. Unfortunately, I had to relist the item to update the item location. I'm starting the bid below where it left off. Regards, Ed GreatRides is back! It's been some time since I've had some fine bikes to offer to the world on ebay . I have pursued other interests for awhile but I am gearing up to have a wide selection of great American and European motorcycles for sale in the Spring. Meanwhile, I will be offering some sweet bikes that come from my personal collection. Please be sure to check out my lifetime perfect feedback record, and the comments satisfied customers have left. Be assured that this is the way I always have, and always will do business. This is a NO RESERVE auction. High bidder owns it! Please be sure you are willing and able to complete the transaction according to the terms stated below. Bidders with less than 10 positive feedback, negative feedback, or bid retraction history must contact me before bidding or your bid may be cancelled.Gentleman's Express British Bruiser English BulldogI Bought this a bike less than a week before the Sturgis rally. I had been planning for months to ride out with friends when my main squeeze (a purpose-built, fire breathing, canyon carving 117 Heritage sport tourer) developed a engine problem that I would not be able to correct in time. I had to find something quick! No small shoes to filI. I had found a sweet deal on a 103 Road Glide but I knew I would be disappointed in the performance of almost any other Harley, and would be muttering in my helmet to myself about it all the way to Sturgis. I remembered having one of these briefly several years ago and being amazed with its performance and handling. I set out to locate the best in the country, and found it! Low miles, distinct two tone and tons of Triumph extras. I made the right choice and the bike did not disappoint. If you look closely, it is built with very high quality parts and hardware. Not much plastic, lots of stainless steel and chrome. Loaded up with 2 adults, luggage and camping gear I was still able to pass anyone anytime I wanted without shifting. It's just something you have to experience to appreciate. Fuel mileage ranged from 45mpg mostly cruising around Yellowstone to 31.8 doing 80-100 into a strong headwind down a Nevada interstate, passing everything. Total average with my heavy hand on the nearly 4000 mile trip was 37.8. 5.9 gallon tank guarantees 200+ mile range. Handling is easy and precise. With a little practice, I was able to do figure 8's at full steering lock. There is no rival in the touring bike world. Weighs less than a Harley Road King, has a 2.3 liter triple that could power a sportscar, and handles way better. And nobody ever passed me if I didn't let them! The torque wave from the longitudally mounted triple on a top gear roll on from 65 to 100 will astound you. If somehow it still didn't have enough power for its new owner, there's lots more available with changes outside the engine. It is a tough decision to part with it, but I have too many bikes and not enough garage space. As close to showroom condition as a 2011 with 6,335 miles could be. KING of the top gear roll on. Very comfortable ride and maneuvers at slow speeds easier than you would think. Still, it's a lot of bike and not for the novice rider or weak kneed. However, if you want to OWN the highway, this is the ticket. At Sturgis, this bike clearly stood out in the sea of Harleys and appreciative comments were made by all kinds of bikers. Anyway, it's not being used, I need to fix my baby and need the garage space to do it.This motorcycle is loaded with useful (and expensive) Genuine Triumph accessories: Detachable passenger backrestLuggage rackAdjustable rider backrestChrome rear fender railsChrome saddlebag guard railsChrome saddlebag lid embellishersChrome light bar and passing lamp kitChrome visors for the headlight and passing lampsOval chrome billet Triumph etched mirrorsChrome and rubber adjustable highway pegsTriumph logo heavy duty motorcycle coverAlso included is the owners' manual with leather cover, tool kit, kickstand puck, Cramp Buster throttle wrist rest, pigtails to hook up your battery tender and electric vest, extra Triumph oil filter, and a Mount Rushmore parking pass good until next August. Starts, runs and rides like a brand new bike should. The only minor flaws a small scuff on the bottom of the right exhaust collector and tiny ding on the left one, a tiny chip in the gold pinstripe on the front fender, a few chips in the clearcoat on the lower fork sliders. All of this is shown in the pictures. Also there's small scratches on the bottom of rear crash bars that were too slight to show in a picture. None of this detracts from how fantastic this bike looks but I want to make sure it will exceed your expectations! Bike received a top to bottom detail just before the pictures were taken. It really still has that showroom shine, not even a boot scuff. It's hard to imagine finding one nicer that had actually been ridden 6k.Tires are original Metzeler Marathon and probably have a couple of thousand miles left, but they are a little cupped. I was considering replacing them but tire choice a personal preference anyway. I'm sure there are a few of you who are on the "darkside" and would put a car tire on the rear anyway. Just before my trip I changed the oil with Quicksilver full synthetic and Triumph filter at 2,425 miles.Bike comes with a clean Washington title.
