1983 Pontiac Trans Am. Researched the vin, and yes it is a Trans Am. Has a 350 engine and T5 manual trans. Last year for the manual clutch linkage before they switched to hydraulic. Has t-tops, but the seals need to be replaced. I built the engine in 2000. Not a lot of miles on the motor, but they certainly weren't pappy miles. I do recall rebuilding the trans roughly around 2005. Nothing crazy on the engine build, believe it was the 327/350 horse factory replacement cam. Fuely heads, edelbrock aluminum intake. Headers, can't remember, but think they are Hedman. Just put a brand new 1406 Edelbrock carb on this spring.I believe the block is an 010. Heads are part # 3973370. Long slotted roller tip rockers. I had sold the car to a friend in early 2000's/2005ish, and just purchased it back in 2016. When we transferred the title, I was unsure of the mileage, and had just said 105,000. The odometer shows 99,322. So I was off a little. I know that's the original mileage, as when I first bought the car, it only had around 92k. Has a body kit that makes it look like a Testarossa. Disc brakes all the way around. Australian 9 bolt rear. Currently has torque thrust looking rims on. New distributor, coil, alternator within the past year. Car is titled as antique. I pulled the antique plate to put on another car. Clean title. Hasn't been inspected since 2002. Don't need inspection with antique plates though. So if you'd get a regular plate, then it'll need inspection, otherwise with an antique plate, you go over the car yourself and make sure everything looks good. The car sits more than it is driven. So it needs to find a new loving home. As with any older car, expect to have to repair things. This car does run and drive. However, there are some things that need to be addressed to really consider it as daily driver worthy.- The one front coil spring is broken. I do have a replacement front set to go with it. I never did the job because ideally the front struts should be replaced while it's apart. -Radiator needs to be replaced. Has the plastic caps on sides, and there is a crack. You can see it is starting to seep a little. I do have a good used brass radiator to go with it.-T-top seals need to be replaced. I believe last time I looked they cost around $125 on ebay. -Fuel gauge doesn't work. Guess how much is in it.-Starter has occasionally not wanted to work. I hit it and then it would work. In addition to it wanting to crank hard after heated. I would suspect that the starter should be replaced. -Timing needs to be double checked. My timing light isn't working. Got it close after installing the distributor.-Carb needs a little tweaking. Again, after installing the carb and distributor, adjusted carb a little, but final adjustments should be made after timing is tweaked. I tried to describe the car's issues best I could.
