Vehicle Detail

I purchased this 2004 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer Edition new from Margate Ford in Margate, Florida in 2004. With the kids raised and going in different directions we no longer need her. She's been very well maintained and garaged her whole life. I am a former Mercedes Benz technician and this SUV has been a pleasure to own and maintain. With 141,000 miles I have over the years I have replaced almost all brake components to include rotors, pads, AB computer, master cylinder and booster and numerous brake fluid changes all for safety of my family. Other parts replacements include Idle Air Control Valve, EGR Valve and cleaning of throttle body. All spark plugs have been replaced preventively as I read some Expeditions of this vintage had a problem with them coming loose. Mine never did but I replaced them and torqued to spec. All tires are in excellent condition with ample tread life. The vehicle starts, idles, accelerates, cruises and brakes very well. Back up alarm works well. 6 Disc CD works well. AC is excellent - a new compressor was installed about 2 years ago. There are no rust issues. There are two minor issues I have not repaired;1. There are two tire pressure monitor sensors in the wheels that are bad. A code is produced at ignition and displayed (see photo). I merely press the reset button and it disappears. Ford cannot tell which sensors are bad so they want to replace them all at a cost of $650.00. I planned to wait until I purchased new tires and have it all done at once but I don't drive her much anymore.2. The radio volume control is erratic. If you move it the sound raises to maximum. This was a common problem and can only be repaired with radio replacement. Instead, I use the remote volume control buttons on the steering wheel.I am not aware of any other problems with this SUV. She has never been used to tow anything but it came with the hitch and wiring for that purpose. The vehicle is being sold as is with no warranty expressed or implied. I just don't use her anymore and I have to intentionally take her out once a week to drive her to keep the fluids flowing for maintenance.
