Vehicle Detail
2000 CHEVROLET CAVALIER Z24 CONVERTIBLE4-CYLINDER ENGINE - AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION - COLD A/C!(NEEDS REPAIR WORK - MECHANIC'S SPECIAL!! - CHEAP FUN!!)This is a 2000 Chevrolet Cavalier Z24 convertible that does technically run and drive but is in need of some repair work before it can and should be driven. V.I.N. #4G1JF32T3YB900295. The car has 158,757 miles on it and has a 2.4L 4-cylinder engine and automatic transmission. It is Pennsylvania state inspected until 03/2019. It has air conditioning that does work well. The car has a substantial coolant leak on the backside of the engine and is suspected to need a water pump but possibly a cylinder head gasket or even cylinder head and maybe all. Water pump replacement, cylinder head/gasket replacement on a 2.4L engine can be quite labor intensive so if you are not a mechanic and able to do the repairs yourself be prepared to pay a mechanic to do so. It may also need some other more or maybe even less involved repair to address the issue. Though the car does run and drive it should not be driven on the road as it is because of the coolant leak and the potential to overheat. The car looks pretty good overall having some dents, scratches, missing paint spots, and small rust as can be expected for a car this age. There is some clear coat delamination on the trunk mounted rear wing and rear bumper. The power convertible top works good but the top itself does have some issues with small holes, tears, and the back window being taped up at the bottom (pictured). The right side passenger power window is slow operating and sometimes stops working but a replacement power window motor is including with the car that you will need to install or have installed. Basically it is a cheap convertible that someone with mechanical ability or wants to pay a mechanic to repair can have some fun with! All that being said the car is being sold completely as is with the buyer knowing the car needs repairs and may need additional unforeseen repairs now and certainly in the future. Local pickup only and buyer is responsible for making any and all transportation arrangements. You are encouraged to setup a time to come check out the car in person prior to online purchase and the car can be driven on our very long lane for a short road test.
