Vehicle Detail
Here's the facts:-New tires (treads with tread depth pictured) -New radiator-Battery is about 1-2 years old-Remote Start (aftermarket)-Working A/C-Working electrical system (lights, dash, etc)-Working radio/cd-Front brakes are recent (rear are still fine)-Oil is changed with Full Synthetic/High Mileage-Full size spare tire (old; so cannot be rotated in on any new sets)-Windows all work-Hydraulic lifts on rear gate/engine Points to mention:-Leak in catalytic converter (thus, P042 code get thrown) - No noise and has not affected the drive (passed the emissions test end of 2017) It probably will not pass the next one and will need to be repaired. When you start it up and until you have driven about a mile or two, you will smell the exhaust (it goes away after a bit). Basically, don't sit idle in the car right when you start it! -Small oil leak but levels have remained fine over the last few years.-Small rust near driver side/passenger door (seen in pic)-Driver door usually requires key to open manually (a new lock mechanism will fix this) - door locks fine and stays locked; all other doors are in great working order. I replaced the window actuator about 5 years ago and ever since, the pins I have used weaken every few months and need to be replaced. -Airbag light on for 4 yrs and the seatbelt indicator stays on (no chimes, so not an issue)-Oil pressure indicator is broke (about 7 years)-Mileage will be a few of miles over from pic---driving it to the carwash and keeping it fresh!-Small chip on windshield for about 5 years. Has never grown or gotten worse even in these bad winters we have had.-Pretty quiet for a 16 year old car but of course always a few noises and creaks and such. Title in hand/clean. Car is sold as-is. Cash or certified bank check and must clear. Local pickup only. You must physically pick it up. If you bid and win and missed this, sorry, there is no truck delivery. It must be a physical person that will take title, sign bill of sale, and finalize all finances. Again---local pickup only. If you bid from out of state, either make it here to pickup or have a friend that is willing to take everything for you. You will not get the deposit back. I have done my best to accurately describe the vehicle. There is always something missing but I think I covered it all. No one buying this should expect a new car feel. It is a great car for either someone requiring a second car for hauling (inside the car, there is no hitch), someone who needs an outdoor/camping car that they want to beat up a little, or someone heading off to school in a snowy area and just needs a solid 4wd car to get through the winters. Keep it in mind...It is a 16 year old car. If you plan on making this a daily driver, you will probably have some upcoming repairs but all the recent maintenance is good (sorry, no receipts or log). The remote start is great for those cold winter days and I have never had to shovel it out due to the amazing 4wd (even after these last few winters that have been awful). I look forward to handing this great Jeep off to someone who will be able to give it a little TLC and enjoy it as much as I have! It's perfect for someone who knows a little bit about cars or a mechanic. Hope to see you soon! Depending how you pay, we will meet at either a bank or other public space to transfer all. I would expect the transfer to take about 20 minutes. You can do a final inspection to ensure all matches and I can show you everything, remove the plates, stickers, then sign off on all materials, and you can drive off in your new (well, used, but new to you) 2002 Jeep!
