1996 Volkswagen Passat Wagon TDI. It has, at the time of writing, 96,402 original miles. This car is in original condition and has never been in an accident. There have been a few rust spots forming which have been repaired; there are also a few dings and scratches, normal for a car of this age. The interior is all original, please see photos and ask any questions.We purchased this new in 1996 before the birth of our first daughter and added a 6 CD changer. After the arrival of our second daughter and a large dog we outgrew our Passat and purchased a Eurovan in 2000. The Passat remained in our family as it was purchased by Grandpa who drove it sparingly until his death in 2015. It has now returned back to us and unfortunately, after trying to hold on to it for a few years, it is too small for our needs. The fuel economy is amazing and the car drives and handles well. At 93,000 miles it received 4 new tires, brakes and rotors, and 4 new Bilstein shocks. It also got a timing belt kit, water pump, drive belt and tensioner. Air, fuel and cabin filters were also replaced. At 70,000 miles a new clutch, slave cylinder and hose were installed.
