No Reserve! 1980 IH Scout II with only 49,000 original miles. No Reserve! I bought this truck from the original owner who is retired here in Florida, he bought it new in Oklahoma in 1980. When he retired a few years ago he moved her to Florida and brought the Scout down as well. He then became ill and could not use it for hunting as he had planned. I was going to restore this truck, but have just too many projects to work on right now, so will try to sell to finance other projects. It sat for several years until I bought it. I trailered it home, pulled the gas tank and checked it. Lots of rust and old nasty gas. I then connected a small gas can from the trunk area so I could get the truck running. It was pretty easy to get her fired up. It runs and drives really good around my neighborhood. Power steering and power brakes work well. No leaks, no over heating, no smoke. I have ordered a new gas tank, sender, and mounting straps for the truck. The gas tank is currently back-ordered but should be here in a week or two. I will install the tank when it arrives, and it is included in the sale price. If the buyer wants the old tank I will include it, as it could possibly be boiled clean and re-used. The truck does have minor rust, but really not bad for a Scout. There is a small hole in the driver side floor pan shown in one photo, and both floor pans do have some rust which I tried to show from underneath in a couple of photos. I would just clean them and patch them as it is not really bad. Original owner had the passenger side rocker replaced before he left Oklahoma, but the left one has some rust as seen in the photo and will need patched or replaced. One photo shows where there is rust right at the very rear edge of the bed floor which will need repaired, but not bad. Frame is good with no rust. Door jambs look great. Fenders and quarters look good. There are some other minor rust spots around the truck but they are very small and don't show up in the photos. Also minor rust in wiper cowl area and left roof drip rail. Grille has a crack in it just above the left headlight, and should be easily repaired. Front bumper has dents and bends will need replaced, but rear bumper looks good. Rubber body mounts are deteriorated and will need replaced. The truck is all original. It has the 345 4bbl with the 727 auto and Dana 44 front and rear with original IH locking front hubs. Truck has power steering, power disc brakes, air conditioning, and factory tilt column. The truck also has the optional factory roof rack, and also the lift-gate upper roof spoiler. Factory bucket seats and center console. Driver seat will need recovering, but the other seats look good. Carpet is shot. Dash looks good. All the control knobs and switches are present. The truck has factory A/C but there is no drive belt on the compressor, so the system will likely need attention. Everything under the hood looks stock, with no mods. Still has the Carter Thermoquad four barrel carb which seems to work well. Roof has never been off. Original IH hubcaps still installed. Last of the IH Scout II trucks, fully loaded, one owner, low miles (49K), all original, with only minor rust. Clean Oklahoma title in the original owner's name.
