This item is being relisted due to a non-paying bidder. Payment in full required to my Paypal within 72 hours of auction end or best offer agreement. This 1953 Oldsmobile is a very solid car. It has the original Olds 303 rocket engine and hydramatic transmission. It is driveable, but the transmission linkage needs to be adjusted or it kicks down from second gear over 25mph. Previously titled in California it has never seen road salt and the underbody can testify to that. The bumpers were pitted and the previous owner cleaned them up and smoothed them out and painted them until he could afford to re-chrome them but he sold to me before that happened. I have included a before and after picture of the engine to show the difference after it was rebuilt. New factory style exhaust with new heat diverters. The interior is 85% complete. All it needs is door panels completed and sill plates. New headliner is in but needs to be finished with windlace. I insulated the floor before installing new factory style carpet. The paint needs work. It was started by the previous owner but never completed. Very clean body overall. I have all of the trim pieces in the trunk. They are in decent shape and just need a good buff. It needs new side window glass, but all of the original windows are also in the trunk. This is not a show car and I am not listing it as if it were. It could be a very nice cruiser for the right person or even a nice rat rod. New chrome door handles from Fusick Automotive and other miscellaneous new parts will be included. The starter was rebuilt locally. I have video of the engine running.
