Just took the BMW K Bike out for a spin and snapped some photos. It is a 1988 with original engine and 24,599 miles. I have all of the paper work on it and it was originally a CA bike that ended up in DC. I spent the winter with the following tasks: New Fluids and Lubricants New Master Clutch Cylinder New Battery New Electric Radiator cooling fan (hard to get to)Patched the pin hole leaks in the gas tankNew Fuel filter and in-tank pumpNew Fuel pressure regulator (hard to get to)Injectors cleaned and certified by Mr. Injector the BMW injector guruNew vacuum lines and block plugsNew fuel linesNew HID headlight which is very brightNew bulbs in brake and turn indicator lights. In general it has some amazing features for a 1988 machine such as disk brakes, Black alloy wheels, radiator, direct drive shaft, center and side stands, full upper and lower fairing, all original bmw tools and owners manuals, plus a few boxes of original bmw parts and spares from friends that have the same bike and they gave them to me for the restoration. In has a clean title, Historic MD Tags so no inspections are required to relicense it in MD and is a lot of fun to ride. Everything works on it and it is street ready.
